I woke up this morning and decided to take a walk to my mail box. And there it was, the big envelop from Drexel, struggling to fit in my tiny box. Behold, it was a lovely acceptance. Believe in God, and He will answer your prayers.

I agree with HazMat... my status changed just a few days after interviewing. I think it's reasonable to call and check with them.
 
Anybody who's been accepted planning on attending one of the PIL days? Or do most people really prefer the IMF curriculum?

just got the final decision update today. interviewed on 10/25.

i have been stalking you on sdn and i KNOW that you have reviewed my file. please update my status.
 
Do you guys know if Drexel accepts letters of update or letters of interest? or is it just purely additional letters of recommendation that you can send?
 
I recently submitted my app. I know, I know its late. Hopefully, they get to my app before they sent out of the interview invites
 
Anyone else here interview this past Friday the 19th? The interview seemed really short and casual, I hope that's a good thing lol

You get a bedroom and your own bathroom, not a lot of frills but everything you should need to get yourself a good night's sleep and up & out in the morning. The owner makes you a very tasty breakfast and then gives you a ride over to campus.

Basically, it was the easiest thing for me to do, was only $85 and was worth way more than that to me. No cabs, no trains, no hotel check-in, and breakfast included.

I highly suggest it!

I would highly recommend student guest house that is where I stayed and she was very friendly and helpful. I was running late and she picked me up at the train station, and then offered me some food to eat. The rooms are nice and comfortable and there is a great lounge to get some work done. I was having computer troubles and she even let me use her own lap top to get work done. Top that off with the meal and ride to the interview in the morning, I really think you cant go wrong with staying there.
 
My status changed to a few weeks ago: "Thank you for your application. Your file has been reviewed and will be re-evaluated later in the season for a final decision."

Can anyone shed any light on this? Is this like a hold? Anyone know chances of getting an interview invite with this status?

I'm on hold at many schools right now 🙁...

Complete 8/31. This change of status was around 11/2.
 
bpost137 - this sounds like a pre-interview hold; no idea your chances of getting an interview from it

I looked at last year's thread and I couldn't find anybody with that status who got an interview invite. Maybe you should send a letter of interest. Good luck, bpost137.

That's a pretty sweet deal! I only live less than 20 minutes away from campus but if I was travelling I'd be all over that.

Wow, I am amazed that they still have not gotten to my file. I was complete Sept. 1st and still have the no decision status. I guess there is no predicting anything when it comes to medical school admissions. 😴
 
me too. complete end of august and still "no decision." sigh.
 
So does anyone know if they accept update letters post-interview? I've attempted to contact them throughout this week but their phone is going straight to voicemail. Has anyone else had any better luck?

It completely sucks how random this whole process is.

Schools I've applied to a month before Drexel: not a peep
Drexel: have been interviewed
School I applied to a month after Drexel: already been accepted

I hate that schools don't do things chronologically...
 
tl;dr

if you havent heard back for an interview invite, check your status page. i didnt get an email or anything about my interview.

ill be there for an interview 1/19. 34T/3.6 OOS :luck:

Yeah, I sent them an update letter/letter of interest a week or so ago. We'll see what happens.

Really? No email? I thought every school sent an email for interview notification... Drexel did for me, too... could it have wound up in spam, perhaps?

It seems pretty 50/50 between people finding out through email vs. status page. I'm personally in the latter category. Either way, it behooves everyone to check regularly. By the way, I'm very proud to have found an excuse to say "behoove."

I think the status changes before they send the email. So if you check regularly, chances are you will see the status change before the email. I saw the status change first thing in the morning but didn't get the email until later that day. It has important info in it so that's why I'm sure they send it to everyone. But it's still worth it to check your status regularly because you'll get first pick at interview slots 🙂
 
Received the acceptance letter earlier today.

It's been 3 long and anxious years for me. I started off as a computer science major 40 credits in with a 2.0 GPA. I've worked so hard and stressed so much and it has finally paid off. I'm going to go drink until I can't feel feelings anymore.

It's been 6 weeks for me and I'm just getting to "under review by a member of the committee." I've heard of people who get a decision in 3 weeks and people who take the whole 8 weeks, so it's fairly random apparently.

I guess you're right. I interviewed two weeks ago and was "under review by a member of the committee" less than a week after the interview.

Still "Your interview has been scheduled" for me, from my 10/18 interview.

I would LOVE to have an answer here... c'mon man!
 
If there is no status update - and the application has been sent in over 3 months ago - have I been rejected? I guess I should send a letter of interest at the end of this semester with updated grades? Perhaps some of you are in the same boat...

yeah not sure what to tell you passion. I called them about a month ago telling them I still had that status. I submitted like the first day I got the 2ndary which was early in their cycle. Still have no decision. If I remember correctly, the lady on the phone told me they hadn't gotten to my application yet. So here I am still like you w/ "no decision." Not sure what to make of it either.

yeah I just checked and I'm getting a 503 error message...

hey guys,
i'm currently an applicant still in the cycle for drexel (a post-interviewee still waiting for a decision).
i just wanted to relay a question answered for anyone interested, hopefully it helps (i think this applies more for post-interviewees)

i asked the admissions office just now if it would be beneficial to send in a letter of interest/intent (intent for me) right now as i wait to hear back, and the lady said not really, as the file is being moved around several places as of right now. best thing i can do now is just wait.

another question was whether Drexel typically waits until my fall semester semester is over to see my fall grades (i'm in an smp right now) to make a decision, especially since I mentioned that in the secondary and during the interview, and she said no, that Drexel typically makes a decision with what they have, especially if the interview is more than a month removed from the end of the semester.
now if i'm put on a waitlist, i'm sure a letter of intent/update would help, but i'm not sure how that works if the applicants are ranked

anyways, hopefully this helps
any further advice in respect to my situation is always appreciated
(hopefully i hear some good news in the next few weeks, best of luck to everyone in this cycle)

Complete since 9/22, but still no status updates after 2 months of waiting. Stats are 3.66, 33R, OOS.

Is this equivalent to a silent rejection?

Interviews don't stop for awhile. You're technically still in the running. Its all a waiting game. I didn't get my invite until December and I was complete around the same time as you last year.
 
"Your file is currently under review by the admissions committee"

You'll probably get one sooner or later. If not, you can check back a few pages... I think someone posted the link to the interview info website.
 
I interviewed the first week of November and my status changed yesterday to under review by the committee...

You should go ahead and schedule your interview before spots run out. I did the same: logged in randomly and saw the invite but I didn't receive my email until a month later. Congrats!
 
Does anyone still have the "no decision... status"? I submitted back in August and this is the only school I haven't heard from yet. Are they really THAT slow?
