I woke up this morning and decided to take a walk to my mail box. And there it was, the big envelop from Drexel, struggling to fit in my tiny box. Behold, it was a lovely acceptance. Believe in God, and He will answer your prayers.

I agree with HazMat... my status changed just a few days after interviewing. I think it's reasonable to call and check with them.

Anybody who's been accepted planning on attending one of the PIL days? Or do most people really prefer the IMF curriculum?

I stayed at the Student Guest House, which is literally a block away from campus. It's owned by a family that is very nice and helpful. You get a bedroom and your own bathroom, not a lot of frills but everything you should need to get yourself a good night's sleep and up & out in the morning. The owner makes you a very tasty breakfast and then gives you a ride over to campus.

Basically, it was the easiest thing for me to do, was only $85 and was worth way more than that to me. No cabs, no trains, no hotel check-in, and breakfast included.

I highly suggest it!

I would highly recommend student guest house that is where I stayed and she was very friendly and helpful. I was running late and she picked me up at the train station, and then offered me some food to eat. The rooms are nice and comfortable and there is a great lounge to get some work done. I was having computer troubles and she even let me use her own lap top to get work done. Top that off with the meal and ride to the interview in the morning, I really think you cant go wrong with staying there.

Can anyone shed any light on this? Is this like a hold? Anyone know chances of getting an interview invite with this status?

That's a pretty sweet deal! I only live less than 20 minutes away from campus but if I was travelling I'd be all over that.

Wow, I am amazed that they still have not gotten to my file. I was complete Sept. 1st and still have the no decision status. I guess there is no predicting anything when it comes to medical school admissions. 😴

I hate that schools don't do things chronologically...

Really? No email? I thought every school sent an email for interview notification... Drexel did for me, too... could it have wound up in spam, perhaps?

It seems pretty 50/50 between people finding out through email vs. status page. I'm personally in the latter category. Either way, it behooves everyone to check regularly. By the way, I'm very proud to have found an excuse to say "behoove."

I think the status changes before they send the email. So if you check regularly, chances are you will see the status change before the email. I saw the status change first thing in the morning but didn't get the email until later that day. It has important info in it so that's why I'm sure they send it to everyone. But it's still worth it to check your status regularly because you'll get first pick at interview slots 🙂

It's been 6 weeks for me and I'm just getting to "under review by a member of the committee." I've heard of people who get a decision in 3 weeks and people who take the whole 8 weeks, so it's fairly random apparently.

I guess you're right. I interviewed two weeks ago and was "under review by a member of the committee" less than a week after the interview.

yeah not sure what to tell you passion. I called them about a month ago telling them I still had that status. I submitted like the first day I got the 2ndary which was early in their cycle. Still have no decision. If I remember correctly, the lady on the phone told me they hadn't gotten to my application yet. So here I am still like you w/ "no decision." Not sure what to make of it either.

hey guys,
i'm currently an applicant still in the cycle for drexel (a post-interviewee still waiting for a decision).
i just wanted to relay a question answered for anyone interested, hopefully it helps (i think this applies more for post-interviewees)

i asked the admissions office just now if it would be beneficial to send in a letter of interest/intent (intent for me) right now as i wait to hear back, and the lady said not really, as the file is being moved around several places as of right now. best thing i can do now is just wait.

another question was whether Drexel typically waits until my fall semester semester is over to see my fall grades (i'm in an smp right now) to make a decision, especially since I mentioned that in the secondary and during the interview, and she said no, that Drexel typically makes a decision with what they have, especially if the interview is more than a month removed from the end of the semester.
now if i'm put on a waitlist, i'm sure a letter of intent/update would help, but i'm not sure how that works if the applicants are ranked

anyways, hopefully this helps
any further advice in respect to my situation is always appreciated
(hopefully i hear some good news in the next few weeks, best of luck to everyone in this cycle)

Interviews don't stop for awhile. You're technically still in the running. Its all a waiting game. I didn't get my invite until December and I was complete around the same time as you last year.
