interviewed 1/18... my file is finally with the committee. Anybody knows how long it takes the committee to make a decision? Another month?

I think one month is a good guess, but it's hard to predict... my file went to committee on 1/14 and I still don't have a decision yet. Some people got a decision within a week or two of their file going to committee. I think they try to do things as chronologically as possible, so you sort of just have to wait to see when people who interviewed around the same time as you start to hear. :luck:

Mine was at a member of the committee for 2 months, then it changed to the committee and within a few days I had the final decision status.

On that note, I think it showed up today, and I think its an acceptance. My husband texts me, "My, what a large envelope from Drexel this is..." 😀

Sounds that way, congrats! Now you have choices...

Congrats! 🙂

I interviewed on lover's day. Hopefully, I'll feel the love from Drexel soon :xf::xf:😍😍

He's teasing you! There is actually a window on the front of the envelope that shows the first few sentences, which include the words "place in the class" and "well deserved" so it's definitely apparent you got in without even opening it 🙂

A final decision has been reached and a letter will be mailed to your preferred address.:scared: :xf::xf::xf::xf:

I would not put it past my husband to do that. He is SUCH a stinker when it comes to that. He loves to tease me. 🙂

I just checked and now I have the "final decision" status... I'm so nervous/nauseated... if it's good news, it will be my first acceptance :scared:

I interviewed 12/6 and my status changed to a decision has been made. I'm hoping it's good news! Anyone interview on that day have an answer yet? I wonder how long it's going to take to get notified. I live like 10 min from Drexel.

Hate to burst your bubble but "a decision" is waitlist. A final decision means acceptance/rejection. Believe I know.. I'm a reapp. Last year "a decision" and I was WLed. This year, "final decision" and I was accepted.

lol. At least waitlist is better then rejection though.

Congrats on getting in this year.

Yeah I suppose so. I'm jaded towards WLs though because I was on 3 and obviously didn't get accepted off any of them.. so I'm a reapp.

has anyone tried calling admissions after getting the final decision/a decision status? were they willing to tell you the decision over the phone, or did they say you just have to sit tight and wait for the letter?

They say to sit tight and wait for your letter, no decisions will be given over the phone.

It would be nice if we could avoid these 10 days of uncertainty and anxiety but...I doubt they are going to disclose anything over the phone. Imagine everybody calling to find out...they would be answering calls all the time.

Congrats on your acceptance! Waitlist sucks but thank goodness I have 3 other acceptances so at least I'm going somewhere. Thanks for the heads up.

My status has just changed to "Your file is currently under review by a member of the admissions committee and will be sent to committee shortly." Anyone has an idea how long this process could last?
Thanks

Hang tight for about 8-10 weeks!

11 weeks post interview on monday with a status that still reads "6-8 weeks until a decision will be reached..." 🙄

I call them once a week now. I understand that there are certain conditions that can slow the processing of applications such as holiday time, bad weather, etc, but the fact that people who have interviewed month(s) after me have been moving through the process much faster is really unfortunate (for me). There are only so many spots this school has, and the longer my application is delayed, the fewer acceptances that will still be there once it is finally considered.

Interviewing is expensive, and time/effort consuming to every applicant. Whatever may be the source of this delay is extremely unprofessional on the school's part. If this is indeed because my interviewer has prolonged the submission of their report this long, he or she should not be a part of the adcom any longer.

I know you're frustrated. Believe me, I would be upset if I were in your position. But I wouldn't worry about the status. People on here have had their status change backwards, or not at all, and then all of a sudden they see they have a decision. Just because your status still says 6-8 weeks doesn't mean it might not change to a final decision in a few days.

Accepted! 🙄

Interviewed on 11/30

It took forever (11+ weeks) to reach a decision but at least it's a good one!

for those who are interested...

Interviewed on 11/30
online status changed to "With a member...." on 2/14
then "Before the admissions committee..." on 2/16
and had a "Final decision" status on 2/17

you got the letter already?! oh snap, guess i'll be getting mine any day now...

congrats! I hope I get some good news soon I interviewed early December and I've been "under review by the admissions committee" for about 2 weeks.

Don't get too excited! I literally live a block from Drexel's campus. I believe decision letters went out on Friday. Good luck to any of the 'final decision' SDN people :luck:

Hey guys, I've been reading through this thread and I'm confused about my status. No one seems to say that their status is just blank (although maybe I haven't read far back enough), but mine has looked like this since November:

Is this normal? Or does this mean my app is not even complete? I just emailed them to ask what my status was. 😕

Above that chart, there is a link that says "TO VIEW YOUR DECISION CLICK HERE". That should give you your most up to date status.

Oh ok thanks, I've been clicking that link every few days for the past few months now. So I'm guessing everyone's "status" has been from after they clicked that link. For me, that link has just told me that no decision is currently available, and it has never said anything else, so I started to think that maybe that link was only for final decisions or something. Does this mean that the image that I linked is basically blank under the status part for everyone then?

Aredotwice, that chart says your application, LORs, and secondary are all received, so I imagine they consider you complete unless they've contacted you for more information. Matteroftime is right about the status link - that's where you can see if you've been invited for an interview. IIRC, you'll be asked to log in to a second website to see it.

The acceptance letters come in a packet from Drexel. So this is the classic "big letter, good- small letter, not-so-good" situation. Good luck to everyone!! 🙂

Congratulations!!! Did you get the final decision status last Thursday?

I just need to relax Thanks

Hey guys, just wondering: does your status change after you have an interview to something else? I mean, does it just sit at "Interview scheduled for XXXXX" until it actually says "With a member" possibly weeks after?

Interviewed 3rd week in Jan. Anyone heard news who interviewed then? Thanks.

Another applicant and I both interviewed in early January, end of the first week and we are still under review. I think when they say 6-8 weeks they really mean it. I don't think anyone who interviewed in 2011 has heard back (correct me if I'm wrong).

Mine changed from "Interview scheduled" to "With a member" the day after my interview, but some people remain at "Interview scheduled" for a while.

Correct me if I'm wrong but to the best of my knowledge Drexel attempts to make their status page a live status. So if your status says "your interview has been scheduled," it's safe to assume no one has yet to look at your application after your interview.

I'm new to SDN, but...

Interview: 11/19
Final Decision: 2/10
ACCEPTED!!! :soexcited:

So excited!!! Does anyone know what needs to be done/what happens after sending Drexel the deposit?

Congrats Always Sunny!

I did, in fact, get an acceptance letter, though you couldn't see anything in the envelope window that said "Congratulations" or anything along those lines. Still, big envelope. 😀

Good luck to everyone waiting for a final decision letter! Wishing you all a large envelope! ( i hope I get one too 🙂 )
