is there any sort of agenda available for the accepted students day? are there any first or second year students that can give a mini preview of what to expect? I'm 5 hours away and I want to know if it's worth the drive for the weekend...

They said an email will be sent out after the initial invite with hotel info/agenda

Congrats, I know we were both in the same relative boat for a while:

Interviewed Dec 6th
Status: 6-8 weeks before a decision, Dec 6th-Mar 7th (13 weeks)
Status: With a member of the committee, Mar 8th
Status: With the committee, Mar 9th
Status: A Final Decision has been sent, Mar 11th

Note: from Late Feb-this week, I had been calling and asking about my status. I am sure they had this image of a pest-like status troll when they made their decison. I am not expecting to get in here.

I made the mistake of doing so this afternoon. I politely asked about my extended time line and lack of change to my online status update and I was rudely told by the person who answered the phone to "just look at the website because that it what it is there for". He never even asked me my name.

..... so call at your own risk.

I had an interview scheduled for March 21st which I just canceled. So there's definitely at least 1 interview spot available.

No, I got it too.. I think it's sent to anyone who took the mcat within a year or so

Yeah, it is funny when you know you are already accepted. How bout if you are an applicant post-interview waiting on a decision and you get that 😕 I would assume rejection... AHHH

Not that it matters I guess but still that's kinda odd. But I do remember the first time I applied I got something in snail mail from them about such. at that time so did Tulane do the same thing.

I think courtnes and I are both IS, maybe that's it? MCAT Date? Or under a certain mcat score (if they see that)? I'm just speculating of course, but I wouldn't be worried about not getting it.

Like I said, speculation. Do you have a really high MCAT? Or did you take it over a year ago? I don't think it really matters who got the email... anyone who wants it PM me I'll forward. All the info is also on their website, they have some really great programs to transition to medical school. One even offers guaranteed acceptance upon successful completion.

Maybe we got that email because of our MCAT scores (ours are similar) lol. I'm OOS and took the MCAT last year.

Thanks 🙂 I don't mind you asking, but I also don't have an answer for you. I'm torn at the moment. I'm doing my best to make a decision so that someone on a waitlist gets my spot, but it's such a hard decision with so many factors to consider. Congrats to you also! I'm sure you are thrilled to stay in Cali!!

I emailed Kelli Kennedy yesterday to ask why I didn't get an invite and if she could please send me the info so I could make plans to attend. She didn't give me any of the specifics but she said they are sending out more invitations and I should be on the lookout for an email from Drexel in the next few days...hopefully I'll get it in time to make arrangements...or maybe there will be 2 second look days since they accept like 700 people? 😕 But I think that's just wishful thinking on my part for more than 2 weeks notice, lol.

No they are not. I called the office today and they said they are interviewing through the end of March. You may still get an interview invite. She said that their class is not full yet 🙂

You should expect a waitlist, but I've heard there is a ton of movement May-July

Sorry to hear about the waitlists 🙁 From what they said at the interview, the waitlist is ranked but they don't tell you.

It's unlikely that there will be any significant movement until after May 15th.
