I'd appreciate any advice anyone can give.
I had an interview at one of my first-choice schools (School A) two weeks ago, and at the interview they said they'd be making admissions decisions right away but that it might take a couple of weeks to get the final approval they need to contact people.
Then, my POI spontaneously emailed me a couple of days ago saying they would be making decisions very soon and I should expect to hear in the next few weeks...which is a much longer time-frame than they said at the interview day.
Tonight I am leaving for an interview across the country (School B), followed by a different interview back on my side of the country on Sunday/Monday (School C), so this is going to be an extremely overwhelming and stressful weekend with zero sleep. I know I would definitely choose School A over School B, so I was hoping I would know about School A in time to cancel my interview tomorrow and cancel my trip if I get in to School A. That way, I'd be able to be better rested and do a better job at my interview at School C. Is it okay to call School A today and ask if they know when they might be making decisions, just in case? Or do I need to suck it up and just go to School B even though the travel will be miserable and School A might have already made decisions? Basically, how annoying would it be for me to call and ask School A?
Sorry for the longest question ever...but advice is really appreciated!
