MSUCOM specifically says to only send the two letters of evaluation - if you send others, they'll just throw them away. It sounds a bit harsh for those who have gathered a large number of positive recommendations - but MSU will take ANY two letters, regardless of who writes them.

I was specifically talking about MSUCOM in my above comment, I'm sure it's different at other schools.
 
LOR service has to be the worst system ever. $28 per school if you want it processed within 3 days, otherwise you pay $10 per school and have it take up to 12 days processing. HOW RIDICULOUS IS THAT. I'm so furious, I wish someone had told me not to go with this garbage.

On the KCOM secondary for clinical experience did you guys just repeat the stuff you listed on the primary or do you think its only for new stuff? What could be new one week after submitting the primary?

I coulda told you not to bother. I started, realized it was a hassle and instead went with interfolio.
 
What do you guys think is more important - submitting a secondary as early as possible with only the required LOR's or waiting until you have all of the LOR's you want and submitting at a later date?

I am still waiting on some important LOR's (but I DO have the ones needed to meet the minimum requirements already). So I could submit now and meet all of the requirements to be complete and then send the other LOR's when they come in.

I am asking because I feel that the missing LOR's could add a lot to my application and I don't want to potentially get rejected pre-interview based on not having as many good LOR's as possible in my file.
 
I would go ahead and send in your app so at least they can build a file for you.

I have the opposite problem, and am missing the required letters, but have my extras already. I submitted anyways, and will just have to wait to be complete.

FYI, OSUCOMs secondary is up now! I filled mine out and am putting it in the mail now 🙂 8 DO secondaries down, 12 to go...

Still no word from LMUDCOM. :'(

Yup... They just want your money and don't want to know anything about you... Haha. I recall them having essays before, and on SDN there were some posted. But I think they realized it's too much work and decided to just take your money instead...

I am definitely not complaining though! I would rather not have to write another essay if I don't have to!

Mine said don't worry about parking violations, so I assume they mean list traffic violations. I listed the speeding tickets anyway. I figure it's better to be honest and it probably won't matter at all since they're so old.
 
I'm sure this has been asked before but...i'm retaking the mcat 8/19 to improve my score, do i send in secondaries now or wait until i get my scores back, i don't want to get screened out for interviews with my first score, but if i wait i won't get my secondaires in until the end of september...thoughts?
 
Got LECOM-B, LECOM-E, CCOM and UMDNJ secondaries today. Turned in the LECOMs, still hate that they removed the essay from it but whatever. I had problems with payment on the 2nd one because it said there was a duplicate charge but w/e I'll call in the morning. Going to try to do CCOM and UMDNJ tomorrow morning. I'll probably start getting MD secondaries tomorrow too, this is going to pile on QUICK.
 
I just submitted LECOM and CCOM secondaries. Now I'm waiting on the others. It seems that LECOM just wants your cash though, oh well. Has anyone else had to call your schools to ask for their address to send LOR's?

Interfolio should already have the address in their database. You just type "LECOM" during the delivery processing and it'll show each campus. It's as simple as a click. You send LORs through interfolio since they are delivered immediately electronically to most schools.
 
I had a question. I received my secondary from CCOM and i was confused on how the process works if one were to take thier second MCAT early august. I already indicated on my primary that i was going to take it in august with my other score listed. Can you send in your secondary and then wait for your letters and mcat to get submitted later?
 
I started getting secondaries today, but my AACOMAS application still just says "Submitted to AACOMAS" next to all the schools. What's up with that? I thought it was supposed to say the release date next to each school when it got sent out, right?

There's a delay between when schools actually get your app and when AACOMAS says it was released. It seems strange, but when it finally does appear, it will say released on X date, but the schools really had it several days prior to that date.

Yes, getting your secondary in early is key. Although they probably won't look at it until getting your LORs. Don't sweat too much though; you're still early in the cycle.
 
o maaan. got a rejection already. RVUCOM emailed me to let me know that i didn't meet the minimum requirements to move forward. guess i dont have to pay that secondary.

anyone know the minimum requirements for RVUCOM? im curious now.

I got the same email! I emailed them to ask specifically what requirement I didn't meet. I was under the impression the only requirements were 2.5+ GPA and nothing less than a 6 in any MCAT section... and I definitely meet those requirements so I don't know what the issue is. It's not like, an in-state only school or something and I just totally missed it while navigating their website?

Wow 😕 Since you have a 31 mcat, I'm sure it can't be that. It must be the gpa, although a 3.14 doesn't seem worthy of screening either. I wonder what their cutoff is. I didn't apply there, but it seems really weird that they are so quick to reject people.
 
I called PCOM today and they said they were still sifting through the first few batches of apps. Said that within the next week secondaries would be sent out.

That's just it, their website and the AACOMAS CIB both state 2.5 at the cutoff. That's why I emailed them, I'm so confused.
 
Hmm. I’m sorry you guys got a rejection already! I have a whole pile of them from past years. Ugh. I need to burn them.

I have no idea how you don’t meet their requirements! If I meet them then you guys should also! Very odd. Maybe you should just call and ask them to let you know what they felt was a weakness in your application, more so for future reference.
 
I just got my first MD secondary! Wow, that was faster than I thought... Now I need to find the MD secondary thread... Anyone know where that is? Or is this only done by specific schools?

just received confirmation that KCOM received my secondary. when I logged on it showed that my LORs (sent through virtualevals) were not received. I called the school at they said that should be changed in the next few days even though the letters were received FYI
 
If my files are complete by July 16th is that late? My damn recs are going to take 2-3 weeks to get to schools and will hold back my app 🙁
 
Just got an email from WVSOM with an ID and pin number to check my status. Has anyone heard from PCOM GA or William Carey yet?

got the same email from wvsom; i really like how they only require a secondary if you get an interview; saves us some time and money if they have no intention on accepting us
 
so of the 14 schools ive applied to, ive heard from 6 so far...is this a normal percentage?

Yeah I applied to 15 schools and have only heard from 6 too. Some of the schools wait a little longer to send out the secondaries.
