I'm not sure. I actually haven't even sent in my FAFSA yet. We should be getting our tax return back in a few days. This was sent to me before the rest of my financial aide package.

ughhh... correspondence sent. boooooo. hopefully im one of the lucky ones to get in off the waitlist. annoying too, my interviewer said numerous times "i really like you..blah blah, ill have no trouble vouching for you to the committee blah blah" ii guess the commitee doesnt like me! is movement off the waitlist only after regular matriculation times? like may or something? now im gonna have to give 2 grand to my 2nd choice... and eat it if i get off waitlist...

I wonder when we are gonna get financial aid info... I would really love to get all of the money stuff figured out.
 
Correspondence sent... Guess I shouldn't have jumped the gun and read all those "Temple vs Jefferson" threads. Must have jinxed myself. Oh well. Jeff here I come! (unless my #1 shows me love on the 15th) Good luck everyone still waiting!
 
Accepted! Only took 13 weeks to hear back post interview... lol.

surprise interview invite this morning, for those wondering if invites are still going out. complete way back in sept.
 
That's awesome! Congratulations!

I think they interview until April, so they've got to be getting close to the end.

I also got an interview invite this morning - complete in August. Dates are open for the next two weeks. I haven't done much research on Temple so I guess it is time to start!
 
For those of you who got invites, mind sharing your stats?
 
I'd just like you all to know that I had the craziest dream about Second Look. While they were giving presentations, different dance and singing group from the school would trot out and break into musical numbers in between. I schit you not.

Fun fact, apparently my mind knows the entire Thriller dance, because I saw it.

Oh, and P.S. The weather forecast for Philly on Fridays is about 70 degrees and mostly sunny. 😀

This is kind of a random question~ But does anyone know what the gym is like at Temple? I know the Undergrad. building has one, but I am unsure about the medical school building. If it does, can anyone tell me what it is like? I must have missed this information!

I think there is one on the health sciences campus in the student faculty center dedicated to students of all the schools belonging to the health sciences.

Hey geekchick,
Question for you with regards to your finaid package (and i hope you dont mind my asking but) : what was your MCAT score?
I'm bugging out right now because I had assumed that they hadn't sent out FinAid packages. I was hoping for one of those meaty ones based on my MCAT score (34) but now I'm guessing that I'm not getting anything.
Do they send them all out at once or do the emails come in waves live the acceptances?
Any info at all on this would be helpful since 53,000 for out of state is quite a lot of debt to be saddled with although I'll probably brave it anyway to go to Temple.

I got a 39O. 14/11/14.

FTR, I didn't get my package yet. I am still waiting to get my taxes back and haven't done my financial aide forms yet (which reminds me I need to call my uncle tomorrow). I got an email entitled "Scholarship notification" and that's how I found out. I have no idea what percentage of the scholarship money they've given out yet, though, or what their system is for notifying all the recipients. I know someone else in this thread got notified a few days after me, but I think that's all we heard about here.

I hope you get some kind of love, be it merit or need-based. Temple is only $9K/year cheaper for IS students so I know the pressure.
 
Also, I have been accepted for many months and completed my FAFSA about 2 weeks ago. Are there any other forms that I forgot to fill out?

Props on both the MCAT score and awesome scholarship! I noticed you got accepted to Drexel as well but I'm guessing that scholarship makes that decision a bit easier!
I don't understand how they give out scholarships without any FAFSA or FinAid forms. Must be they only reported the merit based ones so far. I'm just concerned that I was supposed to mail in additional forms that I didn't know about and am possibly cheating myself out of thousands of dollars. If somebody else reported an email a few days after you then maybe there is still hope 2 weeks later?

I was accepted on March 11th and got an email about a scholarship offer on March 15th. I'm assuming it was merit based, 37 and 3.9. I didn't send in any other forms other than the FAFSA.

You also need to send in tax returns and W-2's for yourself and your parents.

Did anyone (other than maniacmath) who interviewed with Dr. Mark Black get a decision yet? I interviewed on 12/3 and thought my interview went okay, but i still haven't heard yet. I really liked Temple and this is beyond frustrating...
 
Does anyone know when the adcom meets? They said I should hear back by mid-March, and that is right about now.
 
Contact them. They said you should hear back within 4-6 weeks and if you don't to go ahead and ask them about your status. Some have taken longer to hear back for whatever reason.

I've called them a few times already and every time they say that i should hear back soon.. like i called at the end of january, end of february, and a couple weeks ago and every time they said i should hear back in the "next couple weeks". Would it be really annoying to call them again? I don't want to annoy them but this is getting ridiculous considering its been almost 4 months since i interviewed!
 
Has anyone gotten in off the waiting list? If so, do you might giving your stats?

So now I got an email saying the attire for second look tomorrow is "casual" not "business casual"... So idk what I'm gonna wear... Sigh, decisions decisions.
 
Hey guys, have fun at the Second Look! I will not be there, but it sounds like it will be awesome (especially the D&B part).
 
Who else had a blast at Second Look?! Fun times, it was great meeting everyone!

Congrats/I'm sorry (depending on how you feel about the waitlist)! Would you mind telling us when you got the news? I'm still waiting and it seems that not many people on SDN has heard post-interview from Temple recently. I've heard that Temple usually sends out the emails on Friday?
 
They told us at interview day that the adcom meets on Fridays. Generally, acceptance emails and status changes go out that day, but they have been known to wait until right before a holiday to send them out, too. They did it for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
 
Regarding the alternate list: I heard people who are alternated listed later in the cycle have a good chance of getting in( by later I mean the time which interviewees were interviewing for a waitlist spot)

Does this mean that people who were alternate listed early in the cycle have a lower chance of getting in? Is there even waitlist movement for these people?
 
Yeah, I interviewed early February and I'm still waiting to hear. No information on the portal...still interview complete.

I noticed my status changed to correspondence sent about 2 weeks ago and I got my waitlist letter snail mail last Friday. I really liked Temple and was a bit bummed about being put on the waitlist; however, I do have a few acceptances so thankfully I will be a part of the Class of 2015 somewhere!!!🙂🙂🙂
 
does "correspondence sent" mean waitlist or rejection? i just noticed my status change... 🙁
 
Waitlist. I don't think they reject post-interview, at least I haven't seen any posted here. Sorry man. 🙁 The WL supposedly moves quite a bit, though, but probably not til May.
 
Waitlist for me too. I'm really starting to have a collection over here 🙁
