Starting to get anxious. Northwestern is by far my top choice. I had good interviews but still felt intimidated by the caliber of the people I met there. Would be a dream come true if I was accepted here.

+1!!! I guess if any of us are the lucky ones accepted, we might hear next Thursday (3/1)?? :xf:
 
i called and they said mid march for deferred decision ppl. someone might want to verify that though
 
that may be true! my guess just came from last year when decisions seemed to have been sent out in waves, starting from 3/1... well, sooner the better

that stinks..I guess this will be an indicator of how I'll feel during spring break :scared:

Edit: Just contacted them. They said all decisions will be sent out by Mid-March. Well time to go into hibernation mode until then. Good luck everyone.

I think someone who interviewed 1/18 said he was accepted 2/12.

Last years thread has January/Feb interviewees who were accepted receiving notice between now and March (that is, early) and deferred candidates eventually being accepted on 3/2. Waitlisted applicants were notified between 3/7-15. One person posted in May that they were accepted from the waitlist.

I loved the visit and I think the curriculum and student body are a fantastic fit! To whom is everyone addressing their letter of interest/intent? Dean Wallace? Dear Admissions Committee?

I said Dean Wallace. So 3/2 is the day for deferred applicants?

Well, that's they day they posted on SDN last year so I'd assume they were notified on either 3/1 or 3/2. Of course I'm not an authority on their admissions process so don't hold me to this.

I addressed mine to the Admissions Committee, though maybe that was a mistake haha. Eager to hear back! (in the deferred pool)

I interviewed on January 9 and haven't heard back. A select few will interview in January and February and hear back before March 1. Most of us will hear back on March 1 or 2. Do not worry. I was anal and searched all the NU threads on SDN over the past 5 years and most acceptances go out in March. We may not get in, but our delayed decision shouldn't be cause for concern. Good luck to all of you.
 
Based on the 25% now, 25% later plan, I believe about 1/3 of us who have not yet been accepted will be. Then they'll draw a small percentage from the waitlist as well based on previous admission stats. Best of luck to everyone who really wants it!
 
I was interviewed on January 18th and got my acceptance on Feb 13th. Super stoked, I felt I was a long shot candidate! See everyone in the Fall!
 
March is SERIOUSLY fast approaching. This wait is driving me crazy!! :scared:
Only 1/3 of deferred applicants are accepted? 🙁 Only a few people are accepted off the wait list? 🙁
I guess that if it's meant to be, it's meant to be.
Hopefully Northwestern and I are meant to be!

Northwestern is kind of a long shot for me, so I'm ready for whatever comes my way.
 
For letters of interest, I addressed mine to the dean of admissions but did you guys e-mail it directly to him or the office of admissions?
 
Still waiting for my 1/20 interview decision....come on Northwestern!!!!

There are a few of us who will regretfully let go of our Loyola acceptance if Northwestern decides to accept us, so keep cheering for us and hopefully your wish will come true too!
 
Ahhhh I could really use some good news from Feinberg... Hopefully many of us will hear back later this week!!! I was also deferred back in November, it's been a long wait!
 
I know this is a late piece of advice, but if you're writing an update letter or a letter of intent and sending it via snail mail, always check to make sure it made it there. Checked last week to see if the letters I sent made it, and turned out they hadn't - sent pdfs via email and had them added to my application! Phew.

Edit: I interviewed back in September and was deferred! I cannot wait to hear SOMETHING.
 
Maybe they are waiting for the upenn, Harvard and so to release their decisions in march so they can know how people are withdrawing and how many spots are left open

Seriously!! I hope everyone accepted withdraws and opens up seats for us!! That would be the best thing EVER! Maybe tomorrow we'll all hear good news. Fingers crossed for all of us! Hopefully we'll be classmates!

someone should call the dean though. I called and the receptionist told me mid march. even though according to the SDN threads last year's "mid march" meant march 2, two years ago "mid march" turned out to be 3rd week of march. this week might be the week but it also might be quite a while longer
 
I called earlier this week and was told that they are hoping to have decisions out next week. Today is six weeks for me and I was really hoping I would hear back this week :/ I hope we all get good news soon!!

Same for me. Friday makes 6 weeks from my interview.

Hmmm, I'm not sure if it does. I did mention to her that I interviewed mid-jan so that might be why she said next week instead of mid-march. Who really knows though!!
 
Heh today would actually be March if it wasn't for leap day. Darn you Julius Caesar for adding it :laugh:

Same here...I emailed and Laura from the admissions office told me that my application is still under consideration and all decisions will come out by mid March. So fingers crossed. Good luck to all of us waiting 😀😀
