Received an interview invite from my top choice today! Only 29 of 223 are being interviewed. So excited
School name: Baylor
Program type/track: Clinical Psyd
Date received Feb. 3
How were you notified (mass email, personalized email, phone call, from the DCT, from the POI, etc.): Notified via e-mail from graduate studies coordinator. Looked like it was a form letter for the rest of those invited.
Interview dates offered: Feb 24, 25, or 27th. First come first serve.

I just got a call from my POI at VCU counseling with invite. I am stoked! Choice of 2/24 and 2/27 - or another time if that doesn't work. 180 applicants and 20-25 invites for 5 definite, possibly 6, spots!

Last year I applied to VCU clinical - and got rejection on 4/1. I had one interview - Case Western, but didn't get in because the research match wasn't as good as it was with the person who got in. This year, I really concentrated on fit, and it appears to be paying off! Good luck to you to. If you want to know my POI, PM me.

Straight out of undergrad, I got 3 interviews but no acceptances (at top of the waitlists but no luck that year). Later application yielded much better success.

I also applied but haven't heard anything. There's one GC post added January 19th saying that interviews are February 17th. Haven't seen much on SDN though...
 
Hey All - quick question: what do you respond when someone emails with an invite and says "please let us know of any faculty you would like to meet with"??? is that just my POI or just people whose research I think in interesting? I don't want to step on toes by saying "sure I'll meet with A, B, C, and D." but also don't want to limit myself.

I received an email from Washington State about a week and a half ago saying that not all applicants had submitted their official GRE scores and that all students should confirm to ensure their GREs had been received but that is all I have heard.
 
Would like to know if anyone has been invited for an interview or rejected to pepperdine and/or gwu? Psyd programs

Queen's College Neuropsychology - emailed POI about status, was told rejected. (I wish they would have sent a letter.)
St. John's General is still looking through applications.
I haven't heard from NYU, Princeton, or Rutgers, but doubt I got in.
I think it was a pretty tough year, my later applications (St John's, LIU) were way better than the earlier ones where I had to do everything from scratch, as my institution is not equipped to be helpful. I have good experience and excellent scores, decent LORS, but this really taught me the value of networking and getting people IN THE PROGRAM to read the SOP before sending in the application!
 
I just received a letter from UF today via snail mail dated Feb 1. I am a little confused, but I am assuming this means I am on the alternate list/wait list?

"Although you were not selected for an interview, you still remain under consideration as an alternate for admission. As an alternate applicant, it is possible that you may be requested to participate in a telephone interview. If a phone interview is necessary, we will contact you prior to April 12. Our final admissions decisions will be made no later than April 16 and you will be notified of that decision as soon as reasonably possible"

The letter sounded almost rejection-like, but with a tinge of hope in that I may get a call. Has anyone else received this letter or one like it?

Hi all UF applicants that received the letter.. Did you apply to work with a certain faculty member? I know UF says they don't match you with a mentor until 2nd year, so I am just curious to whether they are going off POIs or general admission... If that makes sense. (?)
 
I saw that there are some folks who are going to be interviewing at Baylor later this month. I'm currently a 4th year student and am here to answer any pre-interview questions 🙂 I'm not on here very often, but I'll try to check at least once a week!

Is this for an experimental psych PhD? AFAIK, Princeton doesn't have a clinical (or counseling or school) PhD program, unless they've just now started one...? 😕
 
I got an email/phone call from my POI at Washington State mid-January for an interview on February 17th for the Clinical PhD program. As far as I know, that's their only interview day. Sorry!

Has anyone heard from Auburn since their interview invites went out January 25? I am waitlisted for an interview and haven't heard anything.

I was wondering if anyone with interviews at University of Wisconsin Milwaukee has heard anything post interview in terms of acceptance, waitlist, etc. I know riceowl has been accepted (congrats!)... but anyone else? If so, can I possibly know who your POI is? Thanks!
 
LIU Brooklyn only has the Ph.D, actually. The LIU Psy. D. program is housed on their Long Island campus, in Brookville.

EDIT: I was also thinking that this doesn't just have to be for formal interview invitations. I've heard of POIs/DCTs randomly calling applicants for a chat (how nice and not at all stressful). Anyone have any more information about I/O programs? I've only applied to these and the waiting is making me go crazy (as I suppose it probably is making everyone else do). Any additional information about schools anyone has been invited for interview by, etc would be great!

Interviews at Auburn aren't until the end of February. You probably won't hear anything until after they've finished round 1 of interviews.
