My poi at UCONN said they are done with invites.
The departmentDo you mean the POI themself or the department in general?
Anyone who's interested in University of South Florida:
After talking with my POI (yay!), admissions meeting will happen early/mid next week. Interview invites will follow shortly after. Dates of interview - 2/10 or 2/24.
FYI for those that were waiting...it's coming around the corner!
By the way, did anybody apply to UCSD/SDSU's JDP program? I was hoping to find out when their interview dates were...I know they were still reviewing applications last week, but I was just hoping to find out about the interview dates.

Hey Guys,
Just got an interview call from Clark University.
Interview Days: Feb 15th and Feb 17th
I'm more than happy to answer any POI questions via PM.
Really excited.
Hey Everyone,
I'm new to this forum, and I apologize in advance if this question is redundant but I could not find the answer to it on any of the pages. If someone posts that they've received a phone call from a professor of interest, does that usually indicate that if you replied to the same school you would have received a phone call that day as well? Would the chances of this being true be higher for mass email interview invites? Thank you in advance!
Lauri
has anybody heard from Eastern Michigan University? they had told that invites were due today.
Got the call from UNC!

Program type/track - Clinical Psychology

Er, not trying to be argumentative, just want to make sure you understood my point- It's not just that it won't change the process for the better, because believe me, they know that you really want to go there if you spent all the time and money to apply. But I think it may actually annoy them that you aren't willing to follow the formal procedure that they have set up. Will that get you crossed off an invite list that you were already on? No. But what if you were on the fence, or if you missed the first round of interviews but were still under consideration for a second round? Any little thing could make a difference.
Of course, I'm sure individual POI's vary a lot on their feelings about this. There are probably some that would love to hear from you, so if you get that vibe from your POI then don't listen to me.
But I just hope that everyone remembers that classic delayed gratification study: The little children that can wait for the marshmallow end up being more successful in life! Professors know this; what kind of message do you want to send to them?
Let me add some more info that may be helpful. Some of the dates for my invites I received overlap with this prof's interview date. I like both programs and if I got an invite from his well, I'd attend his interview in person. The admissions staff doesn't have have a clue as POIs seem to extend their invites personally, and I'd like to make travel plans rather sooner than later.
I also have been in contact with him back in the Fall about my application and he liked my CV (whatever that may mean) and I spoke to him at a recent conference (who knows if he remembers me), but it's not like I am emailing out of the blue.
Interview invite to Virginia Commonwealth University.
Grad student called to offer interview either 2/3 or 2/24.
No phone pre-interview or any other warning.
Exciting! Good luck, all! 🙂
Received a mass email from University of Southern California (USC: PhD in Clinical Sciences) yesterday (12/16) from POI. In-person interview 1/13 🙂
Funny- same interview date as last year but the email was sent out 3 days earlier.
University of Vermont - interview following 2 phone pre-interviews
email from director of admissions
interview on 2/10
Virginia Commonwealth University
Email from graduate student - no pre-interview required
Interview dates either 2/3 or 2/24 ... I am attending 2/3

Ah good to hear. I feel much more comfortable knowing that certain schools on the top of my list dont interfere with interviews ive already gotten.
You meant a choice of either the 10th or the 24th i take it, correct?
2/24 I hope you mean haha 🙂
