Can Tufts PLEASE get the fb group going so we can start talking to each other not on studentdoctor?

Also, anyone know about when we'd hear about dual degree programs? I also applied for MD/MPH.

I think the dual degree deadlines for application are end of march so you'll probably hear shortly after.

As for the facebook group, I don't think tufts makes it. But like I said earlier, I was going to create it but I can't unless I have more than one person in the group. So if one of you can PM me your full name and/or facebook link to your account I can friend you and get the process started!

I think they meet around the middle of the month. They told us a few weeks ago that we should know by the third week in March.
 
Has anyone received an II recently? Are they even sending anymore out?

I've called to ask what my status is and they just give the generic "if you haven't heard you're still under review". Silent rejection maybe?

I've been wondering the same thing. Does tufts reject pre interview?
 
according to my interview status page (i interviewed in january) there are still days open on march 1, 6, 8, 20, 22, 27 and 29. seeing as the 1st is two days from now, i'm not sure what it means but i would bet invites are still going to be sent out for march. good luck!

another beginning of another month..having a strange feeling that i will receive "update contact info" soon..i have not seen enough activities of interviewees for the month of march on here (as compared to other months), so who knows, they might accept people off the deferred list this month..just speculating though
anyhow, best of luck to everyone and waiting for II/Acceptance!

Yeah, whole month of March is open for interviews (several dates have opened up just recently).

But I thought the update e-mail went to everybody?
 
I was glad to see the post about additional March interview dates! Now i can interview before going to Israel on the 8th rather than hoping and praying i wont suffer jet-lag upon my return to the US on the 18th. Thanks to those SDN members who posted about this! You really helped a girl out!
 
any invites lately for tufts? Will they go out today or monday for march?
 
Hopefully we hear something soon. Haven't heard a peep from Tufts since being complete in July. :xf:

Ha of course... It's in the msar. They get around 8500 applicants and interview about 1100 of them. So the number of pre interview rejections is pretty impressive. But still I'm holding out hope so you should too!

What about post-interview rejections though?

I'm still holding out hope but I have an ominous feeling that there's a rejection coming way.
 
Has anyone heard anything about acceptances into the MD/MPH program? I'm anxiously waiting 🙂

Well similar situation again... They interview 1100 and accept 200, so like 900 rejections.

They accepted 606 last year. With the wait list, they probably rejected about 300 people post-interview.

It's making me nervous. My interviews weren't bad per se, but brooding on it know I feel like I was being scrutinized quite severely.

I think they only start accepting into dual degrees if you get into the MD program first. Someone said the deadline for these programs is mid or late March (I don't remember, sorry!) so probably sometime after that, assuming you have an MD acceptance by then. Good luck! I'm MD/MPH and am excited to hear back too 🙂

They tend to finish everything by 15th of every month. First, you will receive an email stating that you need to update your address, phone number if it has changed. that is sent to everyone, regardless if they are being accepted, deferred, rejected.

I have not seen much activity for February interviewees on SDN. I know it is not representative of the actual thing, but I hypothesize that this will increase chance of our files being reviewed. Also, it is said that March is pretty much empty in terms of interview dates, meaning that they will not have many NEW files to review and can review our files. Again, a hypothesis. I am seriously hoping to receive that update your address email this month (week). They said we would receive it again if they have reached a final decision for us when I called them.

Update for those still anxiously waiting--March 8, 20, 22, 27, and 29 are apparently still available! I wonder why they're waiting to fill them?

seems kind of strange- today's the 6th, would they really invite someone on the 7th to interview on the 8th?
 
Maybe they have a lot of acceptances already and so they don't need to interview anymore between acceptances and waitlist? (No, I havent been invited yet either!)

there is a second look / revisit event on April 19th!

I have a feeling that the last few interview dates are reserved for internal candidates, meaning the individuals who are in the Tufts MBS (SMP) class will interview on the last available dates. I wouldn't be surprised if they're done interviewing external candidates for the season.
 
Anecdotally, I have a friend who interviewed last year on 3/29 (not SMP) and I believe he was only given about a week's notice. He was accepted via phone call 2 weeks later.

no news here. interviewed 2/7. no update contact email but received a link to an anonymous interview day survey recently... at the interview day, we were told they would review our files in the second week of march and hear by the third week... in past months on this thread (as you prob know) ppl have reported hearing approx from the 10-15th... but hopefully we will have some good news soon!!

Oh, nice! I had no idea~ Is this info on the website? I couldn't find anything about an upcoming second look day...

TUSM will send out an email to those holding acceptances with details about the revisit. Judging by my old email, it looks like they sent it to our class in early April of last year.
