Curious about all of us complete around 8/3 that have not heard anything from Tulane, what's going on? I was complete 8/2 so I'm hoping that we're all under interview consideration!

Ya, I was complete 7/11 and haven't heard anything since. I hope they do email you if you're placed on hold, so at least you know whats going on
 
Rejected today -- complete 8/8
 
Did anyone else get locked out of the secondary? I received the secondary link yesterday, but I cannot login.

Sent them an email, but have not received a response yet, and was curious if that has happened to anyone else.
 
Excited for my interview in 3 weeks. Does anybody have an idea what the Tulane interview day is like

lol thanks for the timely post...I was just about how long it took for people to be marked complete (and I submitted my secondary >2weeks after you).

8/9 complete, axed today!
 
I think i am in limbo stage as well.

I was complete 7/25 and still have not heard anything...hopefully something good comes out of it!

How long do you think it is safe to wait before emailing/calling for a status update? Looking at last year's thread it seems that some people didn't get any notice from Tulane and called in, and it ended up that they were rejected....I really want to hear back from them soon 🙁
 
Interview II today at 2:30 PST. Wow, I cannot believe I made it through the 10000 applicants to get an invite. Complete 7/11 (7/11 survivor 😎).

Thanks Peter. Once again, Congrats on Oakland and even Tulane interview. You are always a step ahead of me, aren't ya lol 😎
 
Anybody has and willing to share recent statistics for Tulane acceptance? Like # interviewed, # accepted, # matriculated etc for last year or the year before. Thanks 🙂

Submitted my secondary app this afternoon. We'll see if I get through. I just hope that they will wait until my new MCAT scores are released (9/13).

Here's hoping!
 
Is anyone interviewing on 9/12 not taking advantage of the student hosting program? I'm staying at a nearby hotel, and hoping this won't be frowned upon...

I'm doing the same thing. I doubt it matters either way.
 
Just to let you guys know, from the SDN interview feedback page, previous years' applicants mentioned that some interviewers asked them whether you are staying with a student host or not. It won't be frowned upon, but it seems like they think it's great that you are trying to get to know the program more by staying with a host. They seem to give high priority to "Why Tulane" "Why New Orleans" questions and also seem to ask what you have done since coming to New Orleans. In short, they are very proud of their school and want you to like it also.

It seems like we had the slow screener who decided to take some time on our apps. When are you guys interviewing? I was assigned 9/30 and sent a reply mail, but no confirmation. Are you supposed to email to the person who sent the email (the email that was in the bottom of the interview invite email) or just reply to the email where it was sent from?

Reply to the email which was initially sent. They got back to me within a day.

K thanks. I sent it Thursday night but did not receive any verification. Was wondering whether I sent it to the wrong email. I guess they took the day off or something cuz it's labor day weekend. 4 day weekends are awesome, but doesn't apply to a non-student like me lol
 
Starting to think no news is good news now that it's been a week or so since they went through those around my date that got the axe. Hoping that I got that same reviewer as ppappui and will get some good news in a couple weeks! :xf:

I have to totally agree with this. If you weren't rejected along with those from the same completion date as yours and survived for more than a week, eventually you will hear good news! People who were completed on the same date as I did received II 2 weeks before me but I eventually got one too 😎

I also replied 9/1, and didn't receive verification. The email didn't say anything about them responding to you to verify, so I wouldn't be too worried if they don't.
 
I replied with the initial e-mail and received this response from the office:

.Thank you for your reply. I look forward to meeting you on 9/12/11!.

I would respond to the initial email just to play it safe.

Edit: Just found out the person who wrote me that e-mail was the same person in the body of the e-mail. As long as your reply reaches her, there shouldn't be any worries.
