rejected 9/27 completed: 8/29 goodluck to everyone else
earliest you can hear anything from any school is october 15th
unless you're EDP for a certain school
I don't think they'll reject the interviewed applicants until 17th though. Committee meets every Friday, so if they did send out rejections for ppl who interviewed 9/12 and onwards, some would've heard.you can still be rejected before october 15th as far as I understand it....they just cant accept anyone untill than
Hope I'll hear something this week. Complete on 9/2 (at least got the timestamp email on 9/2).
Ready to move forward, and hope Tulane shows me some love.
The timestamp email is not the complete email.
Well, balls.
No, they said that they do not put a numerical score on applicants. When the adcom reviews your file post-interview, they will determine, after a holistic review, whether you qualify or not. It is totally subjective and either "accepted" "rejected" or "waitlisted"How does tulane pick who gets in and who doesn't? is it a ranked list?

I thought the packet said we are rated on a scale of 1-5 with 3 being in the acceptable range (i.e. wait list range). I also recall them saying that at least 4 adcoms will review our files, after which time we will be assigned the aforesaid score.
With the committee meeting every week, they probably render decisions for all people interviewing that week. Our fate is already sealed, we just don't know the outcome.
second what peter says. My packet is at home and I'm still on campus but I will check it again tonight. Further, I think you are ranked in the "acceptable" list based on the average of your adcom scores. But I will verify tonight.
Did yall get this packet at the interview? Haven't had mine yet so I'm a little lost. I wonder how many interviews they have done so far... I interview on the 14th of this month and wonder what my chances are. I thought I was early, but now Idk. I also wonder what the turnover is. I expect at least a week from interview, but sounds like its easy for them to get backed up with this rigorous process...
1 monthso i never even got a completion email for tulane. i submitted on sept. 21. when did ppl generally get a completion email?
1 month
If others who completed at your date has been rejected, then you might be in a good spot. Great stats doesn't matter in Tulane; in fact, it can hurt you. So as long as anyone has decent stats, he/she is in the running. The separation point is the ECs, commitment, essays. Tulane only chooses applicants that they think will 1) commit to the community, 2) commit to Tulane/New Orleans. That's why they interview so few and accept most of those interviewed; cuz they like you if you're invited.Completed 8/29, and crickets ever since. Good or bad sign? Any sign at all? Thought I'd heard they were pretty quick to reject...
stats: OOS, 35Q, 3.7, 3+ years clinical experience.

Chill, and sit back, and if you hear good news, let us know cuz you're in a small pool of applicants who Tulane believes is a good fit for their school 😎

ACCEPTED!!!!!!!!! Thank you god!!! The best news of my life this morning! To all the haters who said I couldn't make it. Good luck everyone!!! 🙂![]()
Congrats man! 👍 Were you EDP, if so you were probably in my interview group!
How does tulane pick who gets in and who doesn't? is it a ranked list?
Its a secretive process involving voodoo dolls complete with applicant photos (entire purpose of interview is to obtain said photo) and the Sorting Hat loaned each Friday from Hogwarts.
Rejected: Oct 4
Secondary Sent: 6/27
Officially marked complete: 8/31
Accepted as well! I'll see you next summer Ronronpatel.
congrats guys! so it looks like they officially passed my complete date (Aug 23rd). My app is very community service oriented so hopefully that'll help... I would love to interview here!
Congrats! I bet they've already set your interview date and are just waiting until that date is 30 days out before sending your invite e-mail (what admissions told me they do).
