Neither does the University of Toledo.
It will almost certainly hurt you, but most schools require it. Even for married folk. Doesn't matter if your parents will actually be supporting you.
I haven't heard of a school that doesn't require it. As they say, if everyone could omit their parents' info then all would show the same need.
I have yet to hear of anybody (in past years' threads as well) being accepted off of the acceptance range before March 1st. I know last year there were a couple of people accepted from the list before May 15, but still after the February interviews were over. It is my understanding that this upcoming week is the last week of interviews. Hopefully some movement after then...I'm in the same boat.Does anyone know when the acceptance range starts to move? Are they continually looking over the A range or do they wait until May 15th to really start accepting people?

How many people are on the acceptance range list? Is it everyone who was not outright accepted essentially or did they reject some people post interview?
Did anybody else read the Tulane threads from previous years? I'm under the impression that Tulane is one of those schools that over-accepts on the assumption that enough students will choose to matriculate elsewhere. This in turn leads to very little waitlist movement.
Either that or the people who post in class-specific SDN threads the summer before matriculation are not a representative sample of the waitlist population as a whole.
Well, today I was rejected from my other #1 choice, so as of noon I am officially a T0. And glad to be here. See all y'all in the fall!
Congrats! It must feel great to know where you're going. I love this school, but the price is making me a bit anxious... and my SO needs access to programming jobs, which I'm not sure NO has so much?
For your SO, New Orleans is actually a budding startup:venture capital city for Internet companies. Check out launchpad.com or @launchpad for more information, it's actually a very exciting time to be in programming in NO.
It is also the first city for the Code for America project, with this year in NO.
Still no news... waiting in hope sure is exhausting.
Feel for ya. Been on that since October 17, the first release date lol.acceptance range.... great lol.
acceptance range.... great lol.
🙂ACCEPTED!!! Got the e-mail on Thursday. I will definitely be coming to Tulane, this is an awesome school. See you all in August!
+1agreed. I love this school too and waiting till mid may will be tortuous
OMG you can tell how worked up I am - I almost read your message and thought you were going to say that there wasn't going to be any movement in the admissions range people this YEAR. LOL I need to seriously chill out. I just really love Tulane : (
Aside from the $100 deposit, is there anything else that we need to submit to Tulane after we've accepted the offer?
I was rereading my acceptance letter and it says that "a final transcript of your grades must be forwarded to the office as soon as your school year ends." Is this only if you're graduating in June 2012? What if I graduated in 2011, do they still need a transcript? Thanks!
Might call the office to check, but I think you do still need to send a transcript, because for some reason they like to have them on file. Idk if they don't trust AMCAS or what, but for the other schools I've been accepted to they ask for transcripts from all schools where you received a degree.
+1. They want to have every official transcript you have on record to ensure one last time that everything checks out with you.
Definitely didn't think to do this, thanks. I'll call and check.
Edit: Yep, they need a transcript!
Is this only for people in school? I graduated a while ago and have been working- do I need to send in transcripts? All I sent was my deposit...

Whew! So for those of us who are not in school right now this sounds like more of a mid-May project, and not so much an "OMG I didn't send transcripts with my $100 deposit Barbara is going to kick me out" type thing.
Accepted! I love this school, I'm elated! God is good!
Few words of advice for those waiting...don't let comments on this thread discourage you (whatever their nature). I used to sit and dwell on every comment...thought the class was filled, and my goose was cooked. Over the past few months, I've found that the admissions committee is fairly unpredictable (I was told to wait until mid-May for further news). Keep in touch with the school, show some interest, and pray for the best. I sincerely hope those waiting to hear from this school get good news! I know how painful it can be!
Interviewed/acceptance range'd in November. Accepted after a painful wait this morning!
Congrats!!!!!!! 🙂
