I submitted my secondary 10/25 and haven't heard anything, either. I don't know why they are taking so long. I've already gotten an interview from USC-Columbia, so I don't see any reason why USC-Greenville wouldn't want to interview me...I guess we just have to wait!

At this time we are not able to extend to you an offer of admission to the charter class beginning in August of 2012. However, we do wish to continue to evaluate your application. Please understand that this decision does not represent a rejection of your application, nor are you being placed on a waiting list. As we continue to interview and evaluate applicants during the next several months we will continue to consider your application prior to making additional offers of admission. While certainly not required, if you would like to update your application with, for example, recent grades, clinical or research experiences or extracurricular activities not listed on your AMCAS or supplemental applications, please do so. As a reminder we will only consider MCAT results from tests administered during, or up to four years prior to, 2011. Please feel free to contact us at any time with questions or concerns.

Does anyone know how the "continually evaluate your application" thing works? Also I'm wondering how many students they are accepting per cycle?

I've been accepted other places but USC-Greenville is my top choice so I'm REALLY hoping to get in. I need to be in Greenville for family reasons....

Ahhhh I hate this waiting game! 🙁

What I'm assuming is that they will evaluate your file every month when they meet. So if maybe your file wasn't competitive enough with the applicants this month, it may be compared to the files they review next month.

I wish I could say that she's doing better but not really. Her pneumonia hasn't cleared after two weeks of vanc. She was extubated on monday and honestly, we all expected her to crash soon after but she is still managing to hang on. I was at the hospital last night and her BP has began to decline, her sats were dipping into the 70s and her pulse would drop from 110 down to mid 50s if she was moved. Honestly, it's not a question of if but when. I just hope it is soon so she doesn't have to suffer through it anymore.

edit: she died this morning at 00:45.

How long did it take for them to cash the check? I submitted my secondary on 11/15 and the check still hasn't been cashed, I'm wondering if it was lost in the mail.

it took 2 weeks until my check went through, i bet yours will before the end of the week

Could someone post the secondary questions? I am about to leave the country for a couple of weeks and wanted to finish those essays before I left. This is under a very hopeful assumption that I may get a secondary invite while I am gone.

Thank you very much. We had to bury her yesterday. What an emotional rollercoaster this has been.

So do they not review the secondary until the check goes through?? I submitted my secondary and mailed my check recently. (I'm OOS)
 
Talked to financial aid today. Just something random: they're taking out the allowance for a laptop like what is in the budget in Columbia.

Instead, they're giving everyone a laptop and an iPad. 👍

I'm still waiting to hear back from USC in Columbia. It's going to be a very difficult decision. I basically fell in love with their EMT training, and how tech-savvy the campus is going to be...but I go between excited and worried thinking about being in the inaugural class. Plus Columbia has the ultrasound program (and my family lives in Columbia). So many decisions!!! :shrug:

Regardless, I'm just grateful I've been accepted somewhere. 🙂

We are in very similar situations! I've been accepted in USC Columbia but "still be evaluated" by USC Greenville. I have family in Greenville, so I'm really hoping for good news still from them in the future. And they are my top choice. But like you said, regardless, I am very grateful to have been accepted somewhere!

Thought it was funny our situations are flip flopped!
 
Not sure if this was mentioned, but interviewees from the past couple weeks should hear on Dec 15th!
 
or maybe I should say "around" dec 15th.

wsaedalney, yes they did. Although I can't remember wether it was Dec 15th of middle of december. I think we'll hear something by Christmas though,

That sounds about right. I think it will be tomorrow or Friday. Just my guess:luck:
 
Anyone receive a rejection yet or know when to expect one? In other words, is no news still good news at this point, especially considering that they're interviewing until April?

I don't think they are rejecting anyone at this point. Have you interviewed here yet?

If not, I know they are just getting started with the interview season. No worrying yet.
