I am 🙂
I had my interview today. Vandy is awesome. The Nashville area reminds me so much of the place that I live now: Everyone is laid back, friendly, outgoing. Southern hospitality at its finest.
I could definitely see myself studying here for the next 4 years. Go Vandy go!
via email?😕
first rejection. Weak sauce.👎
No, it was in the mail. I had my preferred address as my permanent address at home. So my mom informed me of the rejection letter, since I am at school. So that makes it even worse...
So one of you is going to get the inside scoop? 😀SO and I submitted secondary at same time and got assigned the same interviewer.![]()

Congrats y'all!! I'm sure you immediately forgave them for the thin envelope trickery 🙂
I checked this morning buuuut maybe I'll check again on the way home... can't hurt, right?
I'm considering a toddler-holding-its-breath-type move... I am going to stare at local native's avatar until Vandy loves me...
3.79 overall, 3.8 BCMP, 32O, OOS
Should I ask Vanderbilt about my status if I received my AMCAS confirmation email from them on 7/26 and nothing in the mail since?

Anyone know the interview dates open right now?
I received an invite yesterday! Really excited.
My first interview!! Weird thing is that the invite snail mail letter was postmarked BEFORE my committee letter was written/uploaded to AMCAS! How can this be?
Anyone!😕😕😕
Tell me what there is between 9/20 and 10/1?
Thanks!
Rejection in the mail today.
34 R, 3.9 GPA, and a bangin' primary application. Not sure what Vandy was looking for. Hmmm, let the speculations commence. Oh well, on to the next one. Good luck to everyone out there still waiting to hear back. And enjoy pursuing the art of healing, no matter what institution you end up in!
just curious-as i got mine today too 🙂 - whether it was a lack of research? i noticed in my MSAR from 10-11 that 96% of accepted had research. while i have some, its only a few months worth. perhaps looking for research? just curious as i really liked this school...but c'est la vie
Question to those of you who are submitting individual letters to Vandy, instead of a committee letter:
The website says "send three letters of recommendation: two from science faculty who have taught you and the third letter from another person of your choice. Letter packets are also accepted" and it also goes on to mention "If you have advanced degrees or at least a year of postgraduate full time employment, it is advisable to ask your supervisor at work or a member of the graduate faculty to send a letter of recommendation."
Does that mean we can/should submit more than three letters?
