They're really prompt. Did you have our status before landing the interview?

For those of you who finished and got complete so early, do you have health committee letters? I would be complete about a month ago if my letter came in so I'm wondering if my school is just screwing me over.

I turned in my secondary a week or so ago. Because Wake Forest seems more selective than most school on who they send their secondaries to, does anyone know what percent of applicants get a secondary application?

When I emailed the admissions office for feedback on my application the first time I applied they said they give secondaries to about a third of the applicants.

If this is true, then we've still got a considerable bottleneck ahead of us before landing an interview.

Wow, that's quite a bottleneck. At least we're in the interview pool 🙂, unlike some schools where there are maybe 15-20 applicants per
interview offered.

Also, do you know if anyone is rejected immediately after submitting a secondary, or is everyone placed in the interview pool?

I'm not sure. Last year I was put on hold after submitting the secondary (then around March I was officially rejected), which leads me to believe that they might 'hold' their non-interview secondary invites... but that's just speculation.

IIRC I got the hold status after "Your application is complete. Interviews are by invitation from September to March..." followed by the rejection.

Ah. Best of luck this time around. Since we are the early birds, we should be hearing from them beginning of August based on last year's thread.

I'm still waiting on my committee letters too. It takes them 2-3 weeks to write the letter after you send in your verified AMCAS PDF. This is part of the reason it's taking so much motivation to do secondaries, haha. I know that they won't be complete for another couple weeks anyway.

Only a third? Yikes. I was verified almost two weeks ago and I haven't heard anything from Wake.

Only one person on SDN received an interview - that we know of, at least. The vast majority of us are in the pool right now where it is decided whether we are placed on "hold" or offered an interview.

I'm just hoping for a bit of clarification on the status most of use have "You're app is complete...interviews are from Sept to March, etc." Does this mean that they have not yet looked over our app? Some people have mentioned "interview pools" in regards to this status. If so, then what differentiates this status from an 'on hold' one?

Sorry to hear that. I'm surprised they actually looked at your primary at that depth in deciding whether to send you a secondary. This is one of school of many, so keep your head up.

Unfortunately, yes it does mean you were rejected.
