good point - i think all of the ii mentioned on here have been oos.
ive also heard that you are more likely to get an interview at wake if you call them to check on your app status/express interest. has anybody else heard this?

LOL hit me in the head.. i didn't realize that the deadline for secondary submission was 3 weeks.. its been exactly a month ever since I got the secondary invite..
do you think I'd still be able to submit it?
ADJFKAD I am really interested in wakeforest, but I work full-time and I am swamped with 10+ secondaries already so I totally didn't realize that.. any comments?? FML

So what is the order of status updates? I got the secondary sent out status, then the waiting on letters of rec status, and today the complete- interview invites sent out if you are selected etc. status.
Are lots of people going directly from waiting on letters of rec to complete/instant interview invite?
Also, I want to call because I have seen that as a tactic over the last 3 years but the first Wake email specifically asks you not to call to discuss your status- do I just need to play dumb?

Greensboro is the closest airport
Its about a 25 minute drive from Greensboro PTI to the School of Medicine. Next closest is RDU which is about 2 hours away.
I would send it in anyway, maybe send a quick email to let them know? I sent my secondary in over a month after I received it last year and it was ok, but there were some other circumstances and I did write them an email explaining the circumstances.

my interview's not that day but one of my friend's interviewed there last year and he stayed with a student host, so they might be offering that when they email you the interview details if you're interested in it 🙂

when you copy paste and hit enter, does the page you get say invalid response or something already? when i copy the link it essentially hits submit on the target page and duh, there's no ID info yet.

oh never mind, sorry =/ i just got the info email and it looks like they just have a link online to nearby hotels. i guess they're not doing hosting this year...strange. hope you can find someone to share a room though!
I am not sure what you mean by delete everything past what the link is supposed to be? What is the link supposed to be? I tried different things and it tells me: "problems loading page" every time. 🙁

umm...is the personal statement section required? Either I somehow missed it or that page never came up....
I just submitted by secondary. Now I will wait and hope.

There was the essay and then the "Why do you heart Wake Forest" personal statement. From earlier in the thread, I'd say it's not absolutely necessary, but Wake Forest does want to know about ties to the state and with so many apps, a personal drive won't hurt your chances.
Or they would pick Duke over Wake Forest.
Interview invite! Complete 8/8/11. FWIW I had to email the admissions office a question on 8/8 or 8/9 and included a sneaky two sentence letter of genuine interest. I have read in past years that WF likes to be told that you like them.

so seems like for those of us who submitted earlier....we are in this interview pool for a long while until they decide to invite us....hopefully soon 🙂
Dang, that's fast, you guys! Congrats! I feel like I now have to send them a question with extra ass-kissin' thrown in there. Or update letter of interest? I feel weird about telling them how much I like them again so soon after I wrote my entire personal comments on that topic.
I don't know if this helps, but I am an OOS student with no ties to the state and I got an interview. I used the extra section to let them know why I wanted to attend Wake Forest--both what I liked about the curriculum, and that I would love to live in NC.
With so many applicants, I think being able to express genuine interest definitely helps (as opposed to the generic stuff that you tell every school in their secondaries).

I did the same thing.
so after calling wf, i found out that there is only one pool but there are certain levels in that pool...for example there is a level where you are for sure to be given an interview...then there is a maybe interview level...etc....so basically there are different levels in the one big pool.
nope haha but b/c i've been waiting for a while..i'm guessing a lower one
