is an interview here now basically for the waitlist spot?

I had the same problem. When I tried uploading my photo as a jpeg I got an error message because of the format. However, when I logged back in later my photo was there. A little odd

wait u can actually see the picture uploaded? Where?

I am interviewing at TUSM next Tuesday and had a couple questions about traveling arrangements. Does anyone who's familiar with the area or who had a similar problem when they visited think that I'll be able to my flight at 5PM if my last interview is at 2:30PM? I know its cutting it close but from my understanding, the airport is 25 min from TUSM and I should probably be out of my interview by 3PM? Making it around 3:45 when I get to the airport.

Also does anyone recommend any hotels to stay at or recommend staying somewhere in downtown to check things out? Any input on these issues would be deeply appreciated.

You will be fine if you take a direct trip there and/or know how to do the SEPTA. I left the campus at 4PM and made it to the airport by 430, so literally a half hour, so I just chilled before my flight. I think if you left by 3, you will be fine. But I would make the flight for 530 or later because if the interviewer is running late, that is out of your control....(happened to me but only delayed me by 15 mins)

Holiday inn express at midtown!

Is it true that the "send us stuff" upload thing doesn't work? If so, I'm gonna send my two update letters in via mail.

I got an II today from another school that didn't check their email for updates, but I got the II after I sent them in via mail. So I'm wondering if I can do that too for Temple.

Hey guys,
when you guys get the email for the interview confirmation times... does it say the time for the 1st interview and the time for the faculty interview. So, is one of those interviews for student and one for faculty? I am checking because I know some people have gotten RAR interviews... which I dont quite know what they are?

The time listed on your email is the time you need to show up at the school. You pick a time via the system and when you show up they give you a paper with the name and time of both your faculty and student interviewer (you scheduled the time for faculty). RAR is the recruitment program for underrepresented minorities.

Yea I understand that.. I already picked my faculty interview time..but they also have listed "second interview" time.. i m just making sure and assuming that is the student interview.. which I dont now why they dont just put "student interview".. but just trying to make sure i m not in any sorta surprise during the interview.

Maybe I missed it, but do they say not to send anything via email? I just realized that my update letter does not show up on my dashboard either. Guess that "send us stuff" link really doesn't work 👎

if you uploaded it and it said "uploaded successfully" or something like that then its there. i called and they said you don't see your uploaded letter on the secondary site but its in there.

Awesome, thanks!

Ok but I've heard people submitting withdrawal letters on the site and then got II's so I'm still inclined to think the upload thing doesn't work.

they told me the letter gets seen by the committee when they review your file again. so those ppl that got the ii's probably sent them in after they were "marked" for interview. that's my guess.

Hey guys,
in terms of post-interview decisions. Are there only acceptances and waitlist decisions? Meaning either you are accepted or put on waitlist? Or are there rejections?

Thanks 😀

of course there are rejections....

Anyone that interviewed in January hear back with a decision?

of course there are rejections....

The reason I was asking is because there are certain schools that dont do post-interview rejections.. so there are only acceptances or wait-list... I thought I read somewhere in one of the posts earlier in this thread that Temple doesnt do rejections post-interview.. but I may have that mixed with some other thread (espically since all I do nowadays is read sdn threads"

I see I see.. I was told during my interview they send out rejections, waitlists, acceptances all by email post-interview.

Anyone know when second look is or when they are going to send info?

How long does it take for them to make a decision? It's almost been 3 weeks now. I'm getting antsy.

MCAT: 31, GPA: 3.53, in-state

07/12/12: Submitted and complete, under review
09/10/12: I emailed/uploaded to the site an update letter with some new publications from my research. No reply.

Current Status Since Then: Under Review

There's no hope here, right? 🙁 I should give up anticipating any news? I have another acceptance already, I was just hoping for something good here, but it's feeling more and more like a silent rejection. Does this school do that? 😕

I don't think Mid-January and onwards have heard anything. It's been a full 3 weeks for me and no word from them.

This thread is incredibly quiet. The adcom met today.. anyone hear back??

For some reason I was under the impression that although the ad com meets on Fridays you hear back on Tuesday. I have no idea why I think this though

Does anyone that interviewed recently remember what the link was for the discounted hotels? I can't seem to access it anymore 🙁

Hi everyone! I just have a quick question for those with big compassionate heart 🙂 which is the best way to get from the 30th street station to the interview location ? Does anyone know how much a cab ride will cost me from over there? any inputs will be highly appreciate it.

Yeah I had the same exact problem in finding hotel accommodation and any special discounted rates. Do what I didn't do- call the admissions office haha and I think there's 2 hotels with special rates for interviewees (holiday inn & Hampton inn I believe).

From 30th street you can use the regional rail to get to suburban station and then take the Broad street (subway) line north to the Erie stop. Or you can just grab a cab, but not sure how much that would cost.

Has anyone recently heard back? acceptances? waitlists? rejections?

I think a cab would be expensive. my guess is $40. chances are, if you are taking a train to 30th, it also stops at suburban station, which is a better place to get off. if not, you can take one of the many trains going to suburban (almost all lines, but make sure it is GOING there and hasn't just come from there). the cost is $4, but it usually isn't enforced due to high traffic flow. if you are asked, you simply pay $4 (no crazy tickets or anything, as purchasing on-board is perfectly legal).

alternatively, from 30th street, catch the blue line subway to city hall (eastbound), and take a free transfer northbound and get off at the erie station stop.

A cab will absolutely not be about $40. It should be around $15-$25 depending on the traffic and the route your driver takes.

I just took a cab today approximately the same distance and it cost me $16.72 plus tip.

Ya I'm dying over here. Interview on Jan. 16 and haven't heard a word. They didn't say anything on my interview day about time frame for a response, did they mention anything to anyone else?

If I recall correctly they told me it would take about 4 to 6 weeks. I interviewed on 1/24
