Any fellow pre-interview post-secondary folk on this thread get any word from these guys recently?
II yesterday actually - complete mid November. Good luck to everyone waiting on calls today!
Thanks! I was complete Nov 25th, so that's "late Nov" in my book. Hopefully I get something this week!II yesterday actually - complete mid November. Good luck to everyone waiting on calls today!
Man, I have class. I don't want to go. I want to sit on this thread and become more neurotic with each post I see.

Accepted! Got the call probably half an hour ago. Good luck to those of you waiting for good news
Congrats to all those accepted! For those of us who didn't hear today, is it safe to assume we're on hold until the March acceptance date or is it possible that they'll be making more calls this week?

I think most calls went out today, and some might still go out in the next two days. But I would assume its likely we are on hold till March.

Called in yesterday & they said they would finish making calls within a week. I would take that with a grain of salt, because I am not sure if they were expecting more IT problems.
Either way congratulations to the people who got in today & for the rest of us we still have 4-5 months to get in(sucks to wait, but better than a rejection!).

No call- guess I'm going to get rejected- again. What's up with 10 MD interviews and no acceptances?😡
Hey now, don't get yourself down. They are going to release a lot more acceptances. You have not even been "waitlisted" yet in the sense that they have not finished giving out their initial acceptances (I believe there is another round!). On top of that, spots continue to open up after that a lot more than you might imagine.

+1. If their admissions process is the same as last year, your application is still active and will be fully reviewed again for their march acceptances. Only after that do they make a waitlist, and people were accepted off of that around mid-May last year. Who knows, they may even make more calls this week because that email they sent out was pretty vague on the timing of the calls.
Congrats to everyone who got the call!! Interview 8/18 and no call here. Heres to hoping for the March review. Who knows there might even be more calls today. Making 40-50 calls in one afternoon would be alot.
I don't know about other interview days, but on mine they told us that if you don't get accepted (and you really love the school) send a letter telling them just that. That was my plan if I didn't get in. Tell them how you completely buy into the problem-based curriculum and how you'd love to be a student at VTC. Be open and sincere. Schools want students that want to be there.
Anyone know what timeline they'll send the e-mail out with the formal acceptance letter?

I was thinking the same! Esp. since they changed when they admit this year - they used to have like 3 or 4 points at which they would accept interviewees and thus it might be taking longer to contact all 50 rather than the 10-15 they would call per acceptance date with the old way they did things. 🙂

The e-mail sent today said within the next two weeks. Got the call yesterday but couldn't believe it until I saw the e-mail today 🙂
P.S. For those still waiting, don't give up hope! I am an underdog (sGPA<3.5) and made it through!
Does anyone know if there is a match list for the class that graduated?

They haven't graduated a class yet. The charter class is in their 3rd year.

Their board scores were extremely good, though, so I'm sure they'll do really well in the match.
Just in case anyone was unaware, they sent out the email today that they're finished making acceptance calls. I got put in the 'active status' pool. Sigh.
The email was worded just like a rejection letter. At least I'm forewarned of what's coming in March.

Yes I would like to know this too, thanks! So I got the acceptance letter by email today with the scholarship offer for 1st year. Can any current students talk about whether scholarships are offered after the 1st year?
Hey guys, I too was accepted to VT and was offered a 15K scholarship. I was wondering if this was standard and everybody that was accepted was offered the same package?
At my interview group, they told us that they were planning on giving the entering class around a 15k scholarship, so I'm assuming its for everyone. At least, all the classes so far have all received partial scholarships. I think it's to convince people to go to a still relatively unproven school, although I'm really not worried with their board scores and the reported feedback from clinical instructors. 😛
