It sounds like VA's and prisons send out notifications quite late. Does anyone know the history for student counseling centers?

University counseling centers are late also. From my understanding and the feedback I've gotten, counseling centers send out notifications around Dec 8-15 depending on the site. So we just sit and wait because we still have like 3 weeks. :scared:

Hello all! New member here. Since submitting my applications I, too, have been anxiously waiting to hear about interviews, compulsively checking my email, and scanning the thread for information about which sites have notified applicants. Thought I would share that today I received an email invitation for an interview at SUNY Upstate Medical University, Adult Track. Another member of my cohort also received an interview offer today from University of Arkansas Medical Center, Child Focused Track. Hope others find this helpful! Good luck to everyone!! 🙂

Has anyone had a rejection from NYU-Bellevue? I know interview invites were sent earlier this week...
 
I haven't heard either way from Bellevue (child track). I wonder if they do rolling invites or do portions at a time because they receive so many applicants.

When did you submit your application? I'm wondering if they do rolling invitations or if they do it all at once.

I think it would be great if sites sent out rejections before invites.

Last year it was definitely the trend that VAs were later. But it is also true that most sites didn't notify til after Thanksgiving, as others are saying. I just try to tell myself that no one is notifying until December so if I get something its a surprise but I don't get disappointed if I don't hear anything!
 
A colleague of mine just received an invite from Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services in Culver City, CA.

I submitted my application on 10/31. The e-mail said that they received 260 applications and identified 41 to interview, so it sounded like they sent it all at once.
 
Received a rejection e-mail from Utah State Hospital : ( At least it was only sent to me. Plus, they said that they will send a letter in the mail. A double rejection hahahah

I haven't heard from them either. I looked at last year's APPIC thread and it appeared that if you didn't receive an interview early in November you ended up with a rejection on 12/14 or 12/15. I already have counted them out. But hey, their loss! 😀

Can you give me the link for last year's thread? I know it will probably make me obsess more, but I was actually going to go through and see when my sites sent out invites last year.... haha! :idea:
 
I just received a rejection notice from Children's Mercy -- it was an individualized e-mail.

I received an email invite today for the MUSC Charleston Consortium. I applied for the Trauma Track. I also received a phone invite for the Salem VA.

Mass e-mail or individualized from MUSC?
 
I heard from some previous applicants that MUSC does rolling notifications. What were the interview dates offered by MUSC? The APPIC directory doesn't say.
 
The email from MUSC was individualized and included a list of several faculty they think you may be interested in interviewing with based on your application.

The interview dates were as follows:
Fridays: December, 9th, & 16th and January 6th, 13th, 20th, & 27th
Mondays: December 12th; January 9th, 16th, 23rd, & 30th
Saturdays: January 7th and 21st
 
I received an email rejection from Children's Memorial Hospital (Chicago) yesterday.

I'd like to borrow some of the boredom. I'm on pins and needles! I have no rejections and no invites. And, people are getting interviews at places I applied to. I truly feel for everyone else in this position.

And, like other people on here, I've always strongly disliked the waiting game... "the waiting is the hardest part"...
