Admissions told me the same thing last year...but there is hope.
I was OOS last year, & didn't interview until Jan 11, which may have been the very last interview. There will probably be turn over on AAMC match day (was May 15 last year). That's when I got in.
As OOS, that's kind of what you have to hope for. I do know that the class is supposed to be bigger than 150 this year, so maybe that will work in your favor.

I interviewed Sept 6. 3.6/34.
Accepted this morning! I have been watching this site for years now. 2nd time applicant and four MCATs (taken over 4 years) later, I'm finally in! Don't give up guys!

Just thought I'd share for those of us who didn't prematch. From last years thread, it seems like 2 more batches of prematches when out; 1 in early/mid December and 1 the week before Christmas.
3.9+/ 31 (first two were in the low 20s, 3rd was a 25)

I interviewed the same day and at least from this thread it doesn't look like anyone got a prematch but it's obviously too small a sample to be accurate. I still don't have TT on my ranking list on tmdsas so maybe that means they haven't sent my app through the adcom but im afraid that's simply wishful thinking.

Tech is not on my TMDSAS ranking list yet either. Most likely they hadn't gotten to our applications.
Hey so I found out in the second email that I got a scholarship.
The paragraph was barely noticeable and I doesn't list the amount. Here is what it says:
"In recognition of the outstanding qualities presented in your application, it is with great pleasure that Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine offers you a scholarship. A separate email with detailed information about the scholarship name, amount and terms of your scholarship, acceptance form and donor instructions will be sent to you in a few weeks."
Does anyone know about how much the scholarship amount typically is?

Oh wow, pretty much full tuition. Well if that is true, it'll make my decision that much harder...
If you accept the offer and pay the fee, can you still receive and accept offers from other schools in case you decide to go somewhere else? Also, in case you do not receive any more pre-match offers, can you still participate in the match if you accept the offer?
Yes but you'll have to withdraw from all but one prematch offer before the match. Yes, you may still participate in the match.
So, let's say I have and accepted a pre-match offer from School B, but I rank school A as 1 and school B as 2. Can i still get into School A or I automatically go to school B regardless of the ranking since I accepted a pre-match offer?

hey guys...i interviewed here oct 23 and it it still not updated on my school rank preference on TMDSAS? is this the case for anyone else? i'm worried it's been too long and maybe there is a problem?

It took them over a month and a half to update the school rank preference for me. I interviewed in late September. I wouldn't worry about it unless it stays that way a week before the match.

Interviewed 11/8 and TT shows up in my tmdsas ranking now so I think they've probably gotten to our application now Leonardo.
If you accept prematch B and rank it #2 and don't get into school A (#1) you will be accepted to B still and be put on the waitlist at school A. The only way a prematch is taken away from you is if you are matched to a higher ranked school.

I am very excited as well! A free medical education would be tough to turn down regardless of any other acceptances offered to me
Interesting. I interviewed at Tech 11/8 also, but it still does not show up on my rankings. I wonder what that could possibly mean...?

I'm sure it's nothing. I was hoping that it not being up yet meant they hadn't seen my app yet so that's why I didn't get a prematch but that's being a little neurotic. There's still the possibility of hearing back in December or matching (I never could find out if tech favors prematch or match). For some schools it took almost a month and for others it only took a few days.
BTW, I got iced tea spilled on me during lunch here

Luckily my pants were stain free so it just beaded off. Furiously rubbing your crotch at lunch with a napkin is usually discouraged.

I had 3 interviews bc i am an FMAT applicant.
First one was a student, and it was perfect.
Second one was a breast cancer doctor, and it was horrible. After i answered her questions, she would always say "and what else?" as if i didnt fully answer her questions. And then she pounded me for my lack of clinical experience. Then she pounded me for saying that most doctors are not doing research concurrently. Apparently, her definition of research includes basic statistics of how many patients she sees and their outcomes (please tell me nobody else puts this under the umbrella term "research").
Third interview went great, just talked about the FMAT program and how awesome it is.
Im just hoping the second interview doesn't destroy my chances of getting accepted.
