I think because if it was generic, they probably sent all at once, if it was personalized, more may be coming.

I think because if its generic it could mean that they sent out a mass email and so everyone who was rejected probably got it at once. Therefore if you haven't heard anything and you didn't get a generic email, you could still be in the running. Alternatively if its personalized to someone, you could possibly get a personalized one coming to you.

Bay Pines VA
Canandaigua VA
Cincinnati VA
Jesse Brown VA
Orlando VA

and a few others... has anyone heard from them?
 
I know sites are not required to notify us if we don't receive an interview.... but do they not know we are fragile right now and trying to hold it together long enough to get through interviews??? And we would like to know how long that is exactly?

It's been a week and in other industries it would be acceptable to call and inquire as to whether we are still under consideration. I'm considering calling next week Tuesday just to put my mind at ease so I can stop constantly checking my email.

Message to APPIC folks - I know you've been improving this Phase II process over the years, but please, it takes them a very short amount of effort to send a "dear applicant" rejection email. Please make it mandatory.

Huge thank you to the sites who were courteous enough to send those "no longer under consideration" emails.

Did anyone else apply to the Ann Arbor VA? I was looking through the application guidelines from Phase I and they explicitly state that they do not conduct interviews but that they don't mind providing information regarding your standing in "general terms" which is pretty vague...

I applied there but haven't heard anything. I'm assuming they'll let us know at some point whether they're ranking us or not, since otherwise, we wouldn't know to rank them.

Just got a personalized email from the Cincinnati VA 🙂

The tone of the email conveyed that they sent all of their interview invites this morning. Interviews are next Wed and Thursday afternoon.

Thanks, I just thought it'd be helpful information potentially since people aren't sending out nos.. I guess I don't know for sure, but that is definitely how it seemed! Hang in there ... there are definitely more VAs to hear from!
 
I've gotten emails to interview at Fargo VA on Monday and Rappahannock yesterday... good luck everyone!

I just received a personalized interview invitation to the Canandaigua VA this morning. Two 30-45 minute interviews will be conducted by different faculty members between today and next Friday.
 
I'm looking at the list of the people who are currently viewing this thread, and I think this is the most I've seen, haha.

Also, I wanted to share that today I was able to help out a colleague's client in a huge way. It put things into perspective for me and helped me realize that the stress of the internship process is just not worth; I just wanted to share that with everyone!

Is it just me, or are some of these sites taking their sweet, fricken' time emailing people! I have little hope of hearing from sites after today. I'll be really surprised if sites are still inviting people over the weekend and next week.

Just received interview invite for Mailman CCD in Miami. The supervisor who contacted me is interviewing applicants next week.

I also haven't heard from the Ohio Psychology Internship?? Anyone else?
 
My sentiments exactly. It is hard to stay in it to win it! I have heard from less than a 1/3 of the places I applied to...and most of them haven't been mentioned in the thread, which is a good sign....who knows.
 
Check out page 92 where the original and updated list is. I think I saw Ohio on there...

Thanks! I just went back to re-check. Ohio University is listed on there, which I assumed was the Ohio University Counseling Center, but there is also a Ohio Psychology Internship participating in Phase II. They are listed separately on the unmatched list. So, I'm not sure....

I'm assuming you probably applied to similar school sites I did. Did you also apply to Arise Academy (LASP*IC), Deerfield High School (Illinois Psych Consortium)? I haven't heard from them yet.

I know someone that was contacted by the Madison site earlier in the week and had an interview, i think, today.
 
Just received an e-mail invitation (looked generalized) to have a phone interview for the Orlando VA! Hoorah!
 
Does anyone know how close to the ranking day did applicants hear from sites about interviews last year?

I'm not sure I listed it the way it was listed. I didn't apply to any Ohio sites so I don't know. I'll see if I can find out though.
 
Does anyone know how long invites for phase two will be? I'm getting nervous, I haven't heard from any as of yet. Second year applying🙁
