Has anyone heard back from last Wednesday's interview? (Jan 21st)

I've heard that they generally accept only a couple from each group and notify them pretty quickly, the rest end up under consideration and the wait list in April.

Thanks. I'm trying not to freak out about not being accepted initially, but even looking through last year's thread it looks like just as many people ended up getting in from being on hold than did accepted straight from the interview

Going to be withdrawing my acceptance here. Hope it goes to one of you still waiting for some good news. Good luck to everyone applying!

anyone know if they keep offering seats to past interview ppl after each adcom meeting or do they only offer it to the people who just interviewed last? I keep getting mixed answers to this question. What im wondering essentially is if you didnt get an admission offer on the following moday are you still in the play each month or only get looked again once the wait list if formed in march?

Has anyone heard any information this week?

I interviewed yesterday and they told us that the class is full, but that about half of the people they have accepted have multiple acceptances so spots should be opening up here and there.

So no more official acceptances? From this point forward its essentially an alternate list situation?

seems like it. they told us we would get an initial decision within a week and I have yet to hear anything so I am assuming I can look forward to a rejection or hold coming via snail mail!

Received wait-list letter in mail today

Same. No mention of position on the wait list in the letter.

Same. You can email the admissions coordinator and she'll give you some indication of your position. Top half, or third, etc..

Does anyone know roughly how many people total are on the waitlist? Top third can mean many different things if there are 20 people per third vs 50 per third.

Shelley Streeter told me that in the past years the top third of the waiting list have gotten accepted and that currently about half of accepted students are holding dual acceptances

Waitlist is moving got acceptance call Tuesday afternoon! Good luck to those of you still waiting!

I'm on the top 1/3 of the waitlist and haven't been accepted. Does anyone know if there is a separate IS/OOS waitlist? If so, does anyone know how well the top 1/3 of the OOS list fare as far as being accepted?

Pretty quiet over here! Any updates for anyone?

Nothing here! Looks like the OOS waitlist just isn't budging. I set my personal deadline of waiting to hear back at June 1st, and then I will fully commit to my state school where I received an acceptance, so it looks like I might be withdrawing from the waitlist soon.
