Anybody have an idea of what day they send out waitlist movement emails each week?
Great advice! Thanks for all your input on hereCongratulations to those accepted, medicine is quite the ride.
The best part of medical school is the time between your first acceptance and the first day of real classes. Don't forget to enjoy it 🙂
The wait list movement is different from year to year but to give you an idea, I started at #22 last year and ended as #7. Good luck to you!Has anyone heard of approximately how far down the waitlist they go per year?

When did the waitlist show the most movement? Before or after the traffic day? Also, are MN/WICHE on the same waitlist as the North Dakota residents, only getting pulled if an OOS spot opens up? Or are they completely separate?
Movement can occur any time, but is most likely to occur right before or shortly following the week of the withdrawal deadline. Waitlist movement completely varies year-to-year, so unless you're highest priority (first few spots) I'd make other plans and just hope for the best.
All the waitlist spots are on the same list, but in reality there are independent ND and OOS/WICHE lists to fulfill the quotas for the program.
You get notified every Wednesday of any movement. There are two lists and the ND list has moved about 15 spots this year... so far. You get assigned a waitlist number way back when acceptances and that were going out and then whenever the list moves so does your number. So if I understand correctly, the waitlist number that you are assigned is pretty much useless? Since they don't tell you the residency of the spots above you how can you have any idea where you stand? So you could be #10 on the waitlist and have 9 OOSers in front of you, or you could have 1?

You still have any insight into the process ... 2016 ?II today! A lot of dates still available in case anyone is still wondering. I am relatively knowledgable and up to speed on UND's process, so if you have any questions about their interview decision process I may be of some assistance
