Don't read too much into it. It's probably just a matter of pragmatics. If they offered everyone their choice of dates (which some programs do) they'd have to deal with trying to juggle everyone's preferences and a billion emails back and forth from interviewees. It's easier to just offer one date and people can accept or decline (or if they reeeeally want it but reeeeallly can't make the one offered, maybe a few interviewees will email to inquire about whether the other date is an option) - overall it cuts down on admin time trying to coordinate interviews. Basically, quit worrying about this minor detail 🙂 there's a 99% chance it has nothing to do with you personally and is just an artifact of them trying to get things done expediently. So one of my top sites has two interview days, one in December and one in January. The invites have been sent out for the first one but not the second. I did not receive an invite for the first one but also know that this is not a rejection. Anybody have any ideas if this is any indication of preference if you get invited to the first or second interview session?
