Sooooo true, although I will admit it's much easier to agree with/accept this once you have a few interviews under your belt.

Definitely.

But I've gone through the process twice already (in Texas only). It's the primary reason I even feel comfortable saying that while sitting on interviews.
 
So I got an II last Wednesday and went in to schedule the interview after sorting out travel plans this week, but all the previously available dates in October are grayed out. What's going on here? Georgetown's admissions department doesn't answer the phone apparently. There's no future dates available in November either.

So wait, am I just screwed then? There's nothing available in November.

E: When I checked on Tuesday there were like 7-8 days available. How could all of them have been filled already?

Just a heads up, when I checked this morning to schedule mine, it showed no available dates. Just totally blank. Gave them a call and they said they had openings on the 11th, 12th, 13th, and 17th-20th. I think there must be some problem with their system if yours are grayed out as well. Just give them a call and they'll schedule it for you! Based on the time of your post, they may have been at lunch when you tried to call them today. Or if it is a system problem, they likely have several interviewees calling in about the issue, and are super busy.
 
just submitted my secondary but my status says they haven't recieved my LORs yet even though I sent them through AMCAS
anyone have a similar problem?

Why did you withdraw? Do you already have your secondary submitted and have just been waiting on the II? What was the benefit of withdrawing?

I am not asking to criticize, I am just genuinely curious.

Probably because @Divine Comedy has been wrecking this application cycle and has II from other higher-priority schools. 🙂

I got II from a school in Baltimore and since Georgetown explicitly states that they don't accept in-the-area email (and that their interview slots have mostly filled up), I just thought it'd be too expensive for me to travel back to the Greater DC area just for this particular interview in the future. Even if I get an interview invitation from Georgetown, I'm 99.99% sure I'll decline. Lastly, I applied for way too many schools. I have 6 IIs right now and I have yet to hear back from more than 35 schools...

My blood pressure was through the roof until this clarification. Whew. Sorry to hear about your withdrawal, but I'm confident you're set for lots of other schools!

Reeeeejected. First of the season. But I just landed in DC for GW and likely wouldn't have been able to return... because money isn't unlimited apparently.

Also rejected just now. Saw this one coming for a while now! Complete the first day they sent out secondaries, not sure when that was. Good luck everyone!!
