Couple questions: 1) Does Temple accept In the Area requests? I'll be in Philly for an interview at UPenn in January, and if I could knock out Temple in the same week it would save me a lot of stress.
2) If they do, how far away do you have to be for such a request to be reasonable? I live in CT, so it's a 3-4 hour drive, but by no means is it something as costly and time consuming as a plane flight, and it's in the same-ish general area of the country.
3) I haven't written one of these before–how would you format it?
Thanks!

I don't know whether they're receptive to them or not, but you don't even have to mention how far you live from the school if you send one. I've sent a few, and this is what I said (got this from sdn)

Dear ______ School of Medicine Office of Admissions,

I am currently scheduled to be in the ___ area for an interview during the week of ____ . I understand that you only interview a limited number of qualified applicants, and that many interview spots may be already filled. However, if I am fortunate enough to currently be under consideration for an interview at ______, I was wondering if it would be possible to schedule it in that general time frame to avoid the cost of multiple trips to the area, as well as to minimize time spent away from school.
I realize that this is relatively short notice and if I am not able to interview at this time, if necessary, I would be happy and honored to travel to _____in the future.

Thank you for your help and consideration.

Sincerely,

_____

hope this helps!

Did you get any interview offers from doing this? Haha I'd be afraid they'd reject me right away

I Have tried this when i had to travel for real. Coming from California so makes sense to want to have ONE trip.

I got one rejection as a result and nothing else.
Dead beat silence.

Currently have an interview at St. Luke's scheduled for January 17 but it's not a convenient date for me so I am thinking of rescheduling. I called admissions and was told that interviewing later would not affect my chances of getting accepted, but I'm a bit skeptical because they do rolling admissions...any advice?

Man I love this school so much. If anyone has any questions about the interview day or on the fence if they should attend the interview hit me up and I will convince you how amazing this school appears

What are the short exercises in the Clinical Skills Center during the interview like? I've never had an experience like this at my other interviews. Thanks!

If u had a exam and u skipped a class would u let your professor know why u skipped the class? ? That's start of stupid simple question

Are they receptive to updates and when you send them to the admissions email do we put it in the body of the email or as an attachment?

Does Temple send out rejection emails if they are no longer considering your application? I haven't heard anything back yet so I'm happy I haven't been rejected...but just curious about how they reject applicants who they are not inviting for an interview?

Stay strong! I thought I had been silently rejected, but I just received an II a week ago so there's always hope!

Thanks so much! I am staying optimistic but I was curious if they send email rejections or wait until later in the cycle... I figure that if I haven't been a rejected then that must mean they're still considering me. Glad to hear interview invites are still going out. Fingers crossed! Congratulations on your interview and good luck!

Can anyone who interviewed at St. Luke's tell me what it was like? How many other interviewees were there and what was the day like overall?

How did you all update your grades on the portal? Like did you write it in a word document or just upload your new transcript? Thanks!
