I think I reputation is very tricky because it all boils down to who you talk to. Up here in norcal, it seems like people don't really....care/know about Western per se. In socal though, I've heard positive things (so far) about Western:
* When I was getting my immunizations done, the nurse told me that Western was a good school.
* A friend of mine has an uncle in socal who is a pharmacist. He has Western interns in his pharmacy and says that he enjoys having them and that Western was a good school.
* My cousin (pharmacist) initially told me to go to an out-of-state school as opposed to Western. Later on told me to choose Western instead. Her reasoning? She talked to a Western grad at some conference, and the grad told her that he really enjoyed his time at Western. He also said that Western students were more prepared for residency interviews because of the extra half year of experience/rotations.
Of course, with that said, take all the opinions (that I posted) with a grain of salt though. It all depends on who you talk to.
