Seems like it's been a rough year for community mental health sites so far, yeah? I thought I was a good candidate for them, but almost all of my rejections so far have been CMH. I'm sorry to hear you're in that boat... just remember, you only need 1 invite to possibly match!!
 
Has anyone heard back from Cambridge Health Alliance Track II (Combined Adult/Child Track) yet?

It's the correct one, but I think the moderator has begun their interview circuit. Also, it's become more important to many members as a support space more than anything.

As long as it's giving that person some form of relief, right? Improving work efficiency and all... I mean, with the right amount of caffeine, it's probably lowering anxiety (￢_,￢)teeheeeheee

Yes, yes, YES to the support space! This process is brutal, hence the amazing and apparently now famous #forumfam 🙂. Also, @SoonToBePhinallyDone, if there's a particular site you're looking for updates on, you can always search the name of it and if there's any mention of it, you should find it in the search results 🙂

I'm so sorry you're in that position, that sounds ridiculously scary and disheartening. I know it's hard to internalize the positives, but please try not to internalize this dumb crapshoot process. You're still a great, competent applicant! And with 5 sites left to hear from you could still make it into the 90% phase 1 match bracket!

I greatly appreciate your positivity. I was hoping this week would be a good one so I am holding out hope. It is very disheartening to think that I had applied to "safe" sites and competitive ones and have been rejected from the "safe" ones which I thought were an absolute great fit. Such a weird process

I honestly don't know if any of our strategies seem to make sense anymore. We all get told to apply to "safe sites" but then we end up in that weird middle area where you're too qualified for one thing and under qualified for other things. I agree, this is a hot mess of a process. I'm holding hope for you. <3

-Track: Not indicated in the email though I applied for the adolescent
-Invite or rejection: Literally the nicest, most kind rejection I've received this whole process which made this one I was already expecting even easier to swallow
-Date of Notification: 12/11 at 1:40 p.m. CST
-How You Were Notified: Super kind mass email that almost makes me want to email them back and just be like "thanks for not being a jerk while you reject me"

Yup, I am really wondering if there even is such thing as a "good" strategy for this process. Certain strategies seem to work well for some people, but not at all for others, and it's not because those who are getting shafted are poor candidates...it really is a crapshoot. (Now if only I could internalize that...)

I had already accepted that I was getting a rejection from them, so it didn't sting too much. But still, I just really appreciated how nice the email was. It felt like it was written by a human being who understands and appreciates just how grueling this process is and not by Siri or the iPhone autocomplete function (looking at you, Brown).

For neuro, 4 is definitely competitive! I'm only at 5, so I feel you. Remember, you only NEED one; you've got four sites who consider you one of the best.

So glad this onslaught of joy and pain is about to end soon.
 
Does anybody know when is the last day for us to be interviewed? I know the ranking website opens on Jan 22nd, but IDK if that is the deadline for interviews... I am just trying to plan ahead so that I can afford travel costs with my poor, grad student budget :sorry:

Hahahahha, SAME! Those poor folks at healthcare.gov are probs flipping their lid, like "please for the love of all that is good and holy, renew your coverage, you young and healthy idiot, so these markets don't collapse!!!"
 
Has anyone heard from Yale Child Study? I know they notified the early childhood track folks, but I haven't heard about the other tracks yet.
 
I still haven't heard anything from Mt. Sinai adolescent health center. It's the last one I'm waiting on!
 
Only 3 left to hear from... Has anyone heard from University of Texas at Austin CAPS? University of Maryland CAPS? Or CHA Track VII adult primary care?
