I noticed that too~ I figured the person was sick or got really busy so I've been keeping up with updates on the forum as they've been posted

Thank you, friend!! 🙂 I'm not going to lie, the first paragraph of the email looks like it could also definitely be the first paragraph of a rejection email, so naturally, I've now convinced myself they've made a terrible mistake and will be emailing me shortly to be like "ooooops, my bad."
Exhibit A of just how much this process effs with rational, logical thought.

(I'm assuming from your screenname that you that DBT is your orientation.) I had a friend interview at Jacobi two years ago. Evidently they announced at the beginning of the interview, "If you are CBT or DBT-oriented, you are in the wrong place!" I'm sure you will find a happy, DBT-welcoming home, Linehanwannabe, that can offer you way more than Jacobi can in that area. 🙂
Yup that's one of mine as well. I haven't heard anything from them so I'm expecting a rejection...
So excited that so many people seem to be hearing from sites today! Good luck everyone!
Yeah, seems likely at this point. On the other hand, if it's phone calls... maybe we're on the B list?
I know. Imagine if we sent in our application after the deadline?!
Unfortunately, Pace isn't the only site past their deadline [emoji53] Can you imagine sites prolonging the wait past 12/15? I have a feeling this might happen... -sigh-

Was this the Memphis site?
at least it informs applicants that those sites lack insight. They are the ones that decided on their own notification dates. If only there was a rule that after a certain number of days past the notication date that all applicants who applied to those sites automatically match...
Yep. I'm guessing anyone who wasn't included is still being considered.
That would be awful - imagine being at a site with 100+ other interns. They would have to make a "get the coffee" rotation!

So what you're saying is, I'm matching? Heck yes, would you like sugar with your coffee?
I just received this rejection as well. 5 rejections away from phase II. Anyone else in this boat? Trying my hardest to stay positive🤔
Lol it’s more likely that they forgot to put me on the reject list like this other site I applied too
I haven't heard from either but I also saw that someone had gotten a phone call invite from them. I am still holding out for something positive - hoping for good things for both of us 🙂

Anxiety is always on-topic. Let’s be real. [emoji30]Okay, so a few things - I got one of those little essential oil diffusers and some essential oil & I set it up and have it in my room. It’s calming. Petting my dog is also calming. Hallmark Christmas movies (bonus if it has snow and all the romance...saw a perfect one last night), candles, sounds silly but sitting on the floor to literally ground myself and use one of those mindfulness apps. Now it’s finally cooler out, so going for a walk, checking out the Christmas lights...all great distractions & help me remember there is more to life than internship apps. Hallmark makes me believe that if i move to a new city for internship, I’ll meet this charming man who will sweep me off my feet and take me on sleigh rides and we’ll fall in love while baking cookies... ok, now I’m delusional, but it’s a great mental escape.

Real question is what was the perfect one you watched last night? Always looking for good Hallmark movie suggestions because agreed - great mental escape!

You guys... I know this is a good problem to have, but I already will be in Denver 1/19 and I'll be in RHODE ISLAND at Brown on the 11th. How am I going to get from Rhode Island to Oregon by interview time on the 12th? Ahhhhhhh so much anxiety

Me too! Hoping Jan 19.
LALALALALALALALALA, my friend can't hear you!!!! : plugsears:I'm an ACT practitioner so: step into the anxiety
I think UC Davis invites are being extended next week. I haven’t heard back from that site either.
I mean, I'd even be willing to write a report integrating the coffee's various levels of sugar, splenda, creamer, milk, etc... Wait, the coffee is APA accredited, right? 😛
I hear ya - it's def a good problem to have, AND super stressful to do back-to-back interview days. I have 3 over the next 6 weeks: Philly-Minneapolis, Chicago-New Haven (though I have to fly into Hartford), and Duke-Richmond (which is a more manageable 2.5 hour drive). Literally my only strategy is to do a lot of coping ahead and pray to the Universe that things don't fall apart because this whole thing will come crashing down if it does.
edit: Also, congrats!! 🙂 I'm also trying to practice a lot of gratitude for this "problem" and be excited that I get to visit a number of cool places. It helps dampen the anxiety a bit.
The Mistletoe Promise. I basically DVR all of them and then watch them when I can.

I chose the 15th but I think they aren't finalizing the schedule until Dec. 22nd so we will see! I am super excited for this one. I would be happy with either date since I will be in that area for another interview. Maybe we will cross paths? Let's see once it hits Dec. 22!

What date did you chose? I chose the 15th (3 minutes after I received the email) so hopefully I get that date.
You want freshly whipped cream on that frappacino? Maybe some art on that latte? [emoji847]

Probs could've left that part out, Miami. So sorry, friend. 🙁
The important question - can i count this as intervention hours? I am intervening in your ability to function properly at work by giving you a caffeinated beverage.
I "binged" the second season of The Crown over the last couple of days, got outside and did some exploring, attended a fun holiday event, etc... I'm excellent at finding ways to all but completely eradicate my anxiety....Now, if I could just manage to reduce anxiety while also being academically productive... I almost said, "if I can just figure out a way to reduce anxiety while also being academically productive," but let's be real, I know the how, as HappyPhDHopeful outlined, as well. It's the acceptance/willingness piece that seems to be so sorely lacking...
Maybe a site has a "show the client what not to do by way of massive avoidance" rotation! #imminentlyqualified 😛
Ouch, super unnecessary Miami. I'm sorry they did that to you
Jeesh, how rude.
