Lol, thanks? haha! Yes I have quite a lot of hours and a bop practicum right now so I think the internship gods are blessing me. Ive heard great things about fort worth so congrats! Did you apply to Carswell? I was so surprised/sad to hear they cut funding for the internship.

Thank you...I applied to 5 sites and it's looking like just the one invite but it could be worse! And I did apply to Carswell... I'm interested in trauma so they were my top site! I almost cried. 8 spots just lost! It made me super curious that they waited until the notification day...after we paid and everything. It was not ideal.

Ugh yeah...8 spots gone totally hurts. I thought it came at an extremely inconvenient time, but in all honesty I heard that the training director literally got the news about funding the same day... I also had been in touch with current interns there and they didn't seem to know about it when I spoke with them just a few weeks ago (after Nov 1).
But keep your head up, Forth Worth wants you 🙂

I'm glad I'm not alone in this. I'm trying to distract myself with work but it is useless. I also tried to get my coworker to join me in an internship interview good luck dance but she's actually doing work. :hardy:

I'm obsessively checking some APPIC directory pages and hoping deadlines suddenly appear changed to a future date instead of today, but alas, that's not going to happen until after I've submitted my sloppily thrown together applications at 11:59 tonight.

Has anyone heard back from Utah State Hospital? Their notification deadline is today and I'm getting super anxious haha...

For those of you interested in room sharing/carpooling for interviews, the SSCP just sent out an internship hotel match-up that I guess they do every year. I can't post the link to the page here but feel free to PM me for it if anyone didn't get that e-mail and is interested!

Hope this is helpful to some of us as an alternative to selling major organs in exchange for being able to afford interviews!

I'd love to get one of these - it would be nice to know for certain that my application went out and there wasn't a glitch at the appic site.

I was actually confused about this, because UC San Fran told me that my application was now being forwarded to the review committee, but I wasn't sure what that meant.

When did you get the email? I applied too (to the multicultural track) but haven't heard anything yet. :/

- Well, rejected, so no interview date...
- Thinking to myself "it's just one of fourteen sites...even if it was my top choice..."

Did you apply to the Child and Adolescent Services Multicultural Program or is there a multicultural track in the other program? (I'm blanking on the name but it's more research oriented).

I hate this waiting too. Also you might already be doing this, but having a calendar w date preferences is really no joke. I responded only a couple of hours after the email went out and got my third choice.

Yep- fully prepared with an excel sheet on preferred dates. I applied to 21 sites so I need a sophisticated strategy. Good luck to you!

Yup, that's the one I applied too. I also forget what the research oriented program is called which is why I called it a "track." 😛

What track did you apply to at Butner? That's the only site I haven't heard back from! Congrats on moving forward with all those sites! I'm moving forward with Terre Haute, Lexington, Fort Worth, MDC LA, and Springfield. I just started using this site too and found a ton of helpful info on older year posts about the next steps in the process. I saw in another comment you're at a BOP prac so I'm sure you're familiar with the process already.

Are you confused with the USA jobs application part at all? Part of the "selective factor" documents requirement is the letter from our DCT saying we are ready for internship... but do we need to attach that in the USA jobs application, or do they just mean that needed to be submitted as part of our APPI? Thanks for any insight you have!

Same !! I'm hoping this isn't a trend haha. U Chicago is tough but I'm glad I gave it a shot. I think EVMS and Geisinger will be the next for me. Finger crossing and internship good luck dances are in progress!!!

Geisinger would be great! I'm would be happy with anything Beh Med related honestly.
 
Is anyone else actively preparing themselves for rejections? I've already seen that 2 of my sites have sent out at least a portion if not all of their invites...🙁
