@PsychicKat No news isn't necessarily bad news. Its a Schrodinger's cat- the internship MAY still be inside the box...

That is WILD. That is more than CHLA (USC), which rejected me yesterday and had 240 applicants.![]()

How can we discover the amount of applicants for each site? Did you all get this info in the emails they sent? Is it online publicly somewhere?
AAPIC directory pages give stats on applicant numbers, towards the bottom of each site's page. I just discovered this today...can't decide if it's good or bad information to have. How can we discover the amount of applicants for each site? Did you all get this info in the emails they sent? Oops, if you mean current applicant numbers that depends on the site, and if they choose to disclose it.How can we discover the amount of applicants for each site? Did you all get this info in the emails they sent? Is it online publicly somewhere?

I did! Sharing that anxiety over here.Did anyone else apply to the Colorado Mental Health Institute at Fort Logan? According to the APPIC directory, they should be notifying us tomorrow. Sitting here biting my nails in anticipation.

MY PARTNER & I LOVELOVELOVE THE MCELROY BROTHERS! Def. a good way to laugh & maintain some sanity through this internship process!
Tbh I tried not to focus on competitiveness (though in hindsight maybe I should've). I spent the majority of my energy on identifying places with the specific training opportunities/fit that I wanted. Went through a huuuuuuge list of places, competitiveness wasn't something that was really on my mind. How did you not know about this? I created a beautiful excel and grouped "competitiveness" according to application/position ratio.
You are not alone, I also got this one today, and it hurt...-Full Site Name: Florida State University, University Counseling Center

Yeah, I did both plus some - Competitiveness, Fit, Geographical location, Pay...I had a whole complex system. I even started my list BEFORE graduate school and researched about the internship imbalance. Collecting peer review articles and such while in graduate school.Tbh I tried not to focus on competitiveness (though in hindsight maybe I should've). Ok, maybe I over did it. But every second was worth it if I match to at least one of my top 3 sites.

update: i have never been this anxiousalso track not yet listed. also dying.
I give you props, but reading this alone just made me sleepy lol.
Ouch. That's not nice.
It was my system. Geez to each their own. Not cool.
I'm so anxious that I begin to lose hope when its nearing 5pm... like, it feels that I just have to wait another day or several, and it kind of crushes my spirit. Irrational and neurotic times!

Lol, no I'm saying your system is great! I'm sure you'll match. I just don't think I could do it haha.

Found out right after my therapy session in which I discussed how this process is making my life fall apart! I'm going to silver line this by saying it's a great opportunity to practice by skills! ((Forced smile))

After the 5 rejections yesterday I was pretty down but then I made the decision to find a few more places that were still accepting applications and submit just to be on the safe side. For those on the beh med track, there are a few really great sites in the midwest and NYC that are still accepting apps! Onwards and upwards 🙂
Go you! I would've handled that a lot differently. I need to work on my coping skills haha![]()
This one goes out to UCLA/Semel Neuropsych track.......
Keep your chin up. Like they say - The first cut is the deepest ;_;Me too! They are my first rejection and first site to contact me 🤔

Also, my mom stalks this forum (hi, mom). She called me to tell me that you replied to my comment. She said, "They responded to you, so now you should like their comment. You two can cry a tear together!"
