"Can you mail stuff to hotels?"
"How to tell if a coat is warm"
"Average January temperature for (city)"
(Not believing the answer to the former question) "Average January temperature for (city) in Fahrenheit"
(After confirming that Chicago is cold AF in January) "Are long johns and thermal underwear the same thing?"
"Can you wear long johns under a suit?"
"Where to buy long johns"
"Where to buy fleece-lined tights"

Oh! I applied to this for the neuropsychology track... super nervous about it
 
I just heard through the grapevine that Fort Worth Independent School District sent out some rejections around 1:00 Eastern Time.

Thank you and it's ok! I had both an umbrella and a rain jacket, but I really should've known better about the stupid shoes. The interview itself was actually kind of fun, and I enjoyed getting to meet other applicants and laugh at the fact that most of us were wearing the same suit configuration.

I think someone posted on Monday that they got a mass email invite from the adult track 😢 Sorry!! I was waiting on them, too.

Edit: I assumed you were talking about Dept of Psychiatry - maybe UIC Medical School is different?

OMG I had my first one this week too and the worst thing about it was that people kept talking to me during the breaks. Break does not mean turn off the on and relax, it means continue to be on while wondering if it would be rude to interrupt whoever is talking to you with a trip to the bathroom because you had three times as much caffeine as you normally do.

That’s the same. UIC counseling reported for adults, but I believe only child track has been reported for the UIC dept of psychiatry so far. Too many to keep track of
 
Anywhere hear from Louisville school of medicine? I know they sent out invites like over a week ago and their deadline was yesterday...so I'm waiting on the rejection like...

Haha, there really are too many posts to keep track of! The post I'm thinking of is from Spiff333 on p. 70 of this thread, but there aren't too many details. Hope you get the interview you're waiting for!

I've literally been saying this quote over and over! Especially in regards to certain sites (Hershey cough cough) who sent out invites a week ago and have left the rest of us with radio silence. It's mean guys (i.e. TD) 🙂🙂🙂.. realllll mean.

Yeah .. In general, I am unclear why rejections are taking so long. If sites have an alternate list it would be helpful to know that. I have already placed Hershey in the "anticipated rejection" section of my spreadsheet.

Same here I would appreciate some notice of any sort even if it was your app is hanging out of the trash by a thread by there is still a chance I would prefer that to the silence!

I'm waiting on them too! I didn't even realize their deadline was yesterday because I already wrote them off. Like bye felicia!

Some sites have a set # of people that they will bring in for an on site interview. If some people decline, they will bring additional people in. Sometimes the invite/rejection piles are not cut and dry, especially in the middle area.

I understand that the process of extending invites isn't black and white but I do think that there needs to be more transparency. There were schools that I applied to that indicated they had an alternate list and, since this is a stressful time, knowing that is helpful. It would be like if a site offered me an invite and I took two weeks to decline the offer. They wouldn't look kindly upon that. It is just a thought for the future... but, like I said, I know this is stressful for both the students and the sites and there is a lot that goes into these decisions.

How are y’all getting to Johnson City? If you’re flying, what airport are you going into? I’ll be there next week and I haven’t figured out the best plan for getting there from another interview six hours away a couple of days before My plan right now is the simplest which is driving but I don’t love this plan.
