Ok an “alternative” account. As in not my main account. An account specifically designed to not be linked to my other posts here.
Not sure if I did enough either... not giving up hope for us yet though!!
Sad. But congrats to you!
This s why I made an “alternative” account. Wasn’t sure what kind of reactions I’d get.:troll:
More fuel for the alternativeness of my alternative account. It’s hard to be open on this forum lest you be accused of being a certain kind of person. That sound ****ty. You seem like a really ****ty person.

Okay, well to be fair, it's probs not best to lead with "I made a fake account."More fuel for the alternativeness of my alternative account. It’s hard to be open on this forum lest you be accused of being a certain kind of person.

Okay, that seems a bit much. Let's be kind to one another because this process is difficult enough as it is without others being hateful. That sound ****ty. You seem like a really ****ty person.
So....basically you made a fake account so you could brag about the number of interviews you have...after a bunch of people just expressed their despair about having very few interviews and being afraid that they won't match...and then you lamented the fact that you didn't aim for better.
....well then...
I'm going to hope for your sake that you didn't really mean to come across as lacking in empathy and assume that the spirit of your post was lost in translation from intent to actual text.
My cohort mate and I have not. We are waiting!@EmAreBee have you heard from Cypress-Fairbanks ISD?
Hi. I made a fake account to report that I applied to fifteen sites and got one rejection and fourteen invites. This I a shock to me and I’m not sure what to make of it beyond being happy and also wondering if I should’ve applied to more “competitive” sites.
YAY! Congrats! This was my last site to hear from and now I get to breath again!University of Washington Counseling Center
INVITE!

Edited to add: Just got a rejection.
Was away with patients. Just got back to scrolling the forum and uhh... What the hxck did I just miss!?!?! Lol
A bunch of future psychologists being accused of "pussyfooting" and "ridiculous soothing"....by an account named peace and love no less...the irony. I can't handle it.
Can we all agree that this needs to be a new official hashtag? #PussyFooting... It's just too good to be left out
did we all forget the #pussyfooting that happened when people had their interview and rejection counts in their signatures? This forum is proving so many social psych principles. Can we all agree that this needs to be a new official hashtag? #PussyFooting... It's just too good to be left out
Yep- must be why.I had to google it because I've never heard it before...was expecting it to be an urban dictionary word....nope, it's a real one. I had no idea. Guess that's why I didn't get 14 interviews
I've given up and just poured a glass of wine.
edit: can you drink wine when you have a cold? These are the questions of our time.

So I'm trying to construct a list of different criteria to rate each site on after I interview, and I'm wondering if I'm leaving anything out: Training (clinical rotations, assessment rotations, ability to provide supervision, protected research, diverse populations, DBT component), Supervision (based largely off of number of hours for group and individual), facility (office space, access to other resources, multiple locations within a site/ease of traveling to them), quality of life (#hours work/week, specific billing hours to be met each week, taking work home (per intern report), do interns seem happy/respected?), living/city ("vibe", cost of living, weather, stipend, health insurance plan).
What am I forgetting that should I add?

YES! Definitely important, thanks!I don't know if this fits into anything, but if you plan on doing a post-doc...I've been considering where their interns have placed for fellowships.

Thank you for saying what I was trying to say in a much more tactful way.
Okay, that seems a bit much. Let's be kind to one another because this process is difficult enough as it is without others being hateful.
tl;dr
1) Don't lead anything with "I created a fake account" and
2) Don't call others names.
🙂
That’s because you’re #insecure.I have zero desire to be kind to anyone who creates a side account to just come on here and brag about how many interviews they got.
@EmAreBee have you heard from Cypress-Fairbanks ISD?
And I feel no badness about calling you insecure because I’m a “xxxxty” person (your words not mine). That’s because you’re #insecure.
Hahahaha!!!! Omg. That totally sounds like something I’d do. Lol are we interviewing together in California? Marin? I’m on 1-16, afternoon.Aaaah, I see! Hahaha I had to Google "pussyfooting" too. I'm not sure what came over me but I got curious on what that would look like if I clicked the images tab...![]()
Has anyone who applied to the trauma track @ UT HSC Houston heard anything? It looks like these are all general track folks
First off, congrats!! This is no small thing!!!
Clarifying question abouth the "School" part of your track: Is this the child primary care track?
What was that about people proving each other right? And I feel no badness about calling you insecure because I’m a “xxxxty” person (your words not mine).
I'm going to be asking about/listening for qualities in supervision that I am hoping for (frequent focus on taped sessions in supervision, for instance). I also value outcomes research being applied at sites, so I want to know how they monitor therapy outcomes and what they do with that monitoring. In terms of quality of life I also want to gauge somehow the cohesion on site between professionals and how collaborative their working relationships are. I definitely want to interview the site about how culture is integrated into training and what views does the site hold about culture. I still need to think about this a lot more myself so I pretty much saw your question, copied and pasted it into Word. You rock, thanks for sparking this.So I'm trying to construct a list of different criteria to rate each site on after I interview, and I'm wondering if I'm leaving anything out: Training (clinical rotations, assessment rotations, ability to provide supervision, protected research, diverse populations, DBT component), Supervision (based largely off of number of hours for group and individual), facility (office space, access to other resources, multiple locations within a site/ease of traveling to them), quality of life (#hours work/week, specific billing hours to be met each week, taking work home (per intern report), do interns seem happy/respected?), living/city ("vibe", cost of living, weather, stipend, health insurance plan).
