For all med school with AMCAS login (Einstein, John Hopkins, Morsani, NY medical, etc) - How do you find current status? When you login to their portal, it just says, application FINISHED unlike other med school portal which has status tab and interview tab etc.

For people who got II, do they have separate portal than secondary app portal?

You can't really, sadly. You just have to wait for a separate complete email.

For II, they all do it differently. Albert Einstein has their own portal, Cornell asks you to send an email.

Does anyone know if Einstein is receptive to updates pre-interview invite? On my primary app I discuss training to be a doula and teaching birth education classes to expecting parents, but I hadn't attended any births as a doula yet. The day after I submitted my secondary I attended my first birth and stayed with my client through her 14-hour hospital labor. Normally I wouldn't send an update, but I have pretty limited clinical experience, so I kind of figure that this would help my app.

Submitted 7/17, just got complete email. I thought the delay may have had to do with my delay in getting a 'letter of good standing', but it hasnt even been uploaded yet xD.

Does anyone know the best way to get to the campus from LaGuardia airport? A quick search shows my options are either $40 Uber ride or ~2 hour trip using public transportation. Any insight on this?

It's NYC so you usually have to choose between money or time, and usually it's both. But a compromise could be taking the NYC Airporter Express ($15 I believe) to the Grand Central or Times Square, and then take the subway from there ($2.75). Taking the city bus or subway to Manhattan is cheaper, but the NYC Airporter is good if you want to make sure you don't mess up because it just takes you right from the airport to central Manhattan with no changes. Either way, it will take upwards of 1-1.5 hours.

In the same boat on 7/17. They say it can take up to 8 weeks so I’d just sit tight!
It seems like it could take longer, even! I talked to an adcom about something else and they were saying it takes 6-8 weeks to be marked as complete and have your app sent to the committee. I guess we're in for quite a wait!

Just got a complete email - submitted 7/18. Wonder why it takes them so long since there's barely any info...

Has anyone called if it's been > 8 weeks? I know there's a bunch of us who submitted 7/17 and 7/18 with no word so not sure if I should be worried yet
It's not 9/17 or 9/18 yet, so don't worry...but if you're really worried, you can call! I've called and they answered right away!

Is it too late for me to send in an application hear? I know they're research-intensive, i have two years of research experience in an ecology lab and about to start research in the VA

Worth the shot if you're interested, Einstein's cycle runs notoriously long and late (I applied mid-September a couple years ago and here I am an Einstein student)
Did you have extensive research experience? I'm nervous I don't have enough research.
