Congrats fams! I havent heard a single thing since my january interview. Hopefully I get to hear at least something good tomorrow since they apparently send out a big batch on the last Tuesday of every month. I just want to be a doctor too 🙁
 
Does anyone know if today is actually decision day? Idk where I heard that last Tuesdays are when they send out a big batch of decisions cuz it doesnt seem to be the case since people got As yesterday.

The person I spoke with yesterday mentioned that they had met that day (so Monday) idk if maybe they’re planning on calling more people today

I saw that last year’s thread had a lot of decisions that went out around April 30th so I wouldn’t be too worried.
 
Anyone from 2/21 interview day hear back from adcom?

So after not finding any numbers online for CMich, I counted the number of placements on the match list (98 I think) and divided it by the 104 people that should theoretically be in each class and ended up with 94.2% However, take this with a heap of salt.

Yep confirming, I was waitlisted post interview. The email explicitly stated it was a waitlist offer and my portal added a waitlist tab.

No news since then, though I did submit update / LOIs. I was told the end of this month is the earliest seats are offered to waitlisted students, but there are generally a good amount.

I’ll keep my fingers crossed in the meantime

For those recently admitted, have you found the "choose your school" tool on AMCAS yet? Mine isn't showing up, and I think it's because CMU hasn't pushed the paperwork over to AMCAS yet. I haven't gotten a background check email from AMCAS/Certiphi yet either, for reference.

I also interviewed on 2/21 and haven't heard back at all yet. Honestly, I'm starting to get really nervous, but I've noticed that all of the recent post-II acceptances are from what was supposed to be the 3/13 interview. Has anyone else from 2/21 heard back yet?

Also did anyone get any acceptances this past tuesday (3/31)?

I am feeling same. I thought they are reviewing application based on interview days. Now it sounds like they are giving priority for those who did the interview online. I am guessing that they did it that way because it is easier to make decisions on online interviews through virtual Adcom meeting. For inperson interviews, they may have to meet in person. Just guessing . . . If you ask me why . . I don't really know!!

The pattern is that they meet on Mondays/Tuesdays cause calls usually go out on Tuesdays. If anyone interview on 3/31, they may hear back this upcoming Tuesday.

I interviewed 10/18 and heard back 12/19 and others had heard back sooner. I really don't think they have a system and just go randomly but as much as it sucks, waiting seems like the best thing for now. You could always try giving them a call but they honestly might be swamped because of the pandemic.

Can you specify what being “on hold” is? Was this an email sent that they’re still reviewing your application for an acceptance/waitlist/rejection? Because I haven’t heard anything since my interview three months ago, not even to disclose I’m “on hold”.

This was a message that a final decision wasn't made and that the application would be kept active for further consideration. I did interview all the way back in October.

Wow I’m sorry you’ve had to wait this long for a response. It sounds like they’re holding off on a lot of decisions. Hopefully you’ll get one in the next couple of weeks!

I interviewed on 2/21 and have been put on the wait list, but I haven't gotten any news since mid March...

When you sent them the update later/LOI did they get back to you by email? And if so, how soon was it after you sent the letter? I've been reading how some schools don't really look at the LOI anyway so just wondering if I should be expecting a reply at all.

I did send LoI too. But, I didnt get any reply that they received it. I just uploaded it on the portal.

I have sent two updates and neither time did they email me afterward.
