I'm sure they'll speed up. Once they get through June it should turn around quicker.

Blue = this year. Orange = last year. It's starting to level out...but looks like it is leveling out at 40 days for verification if you submitted June 28th (ie 30 days out) which is worse than the data I have from last year (from Lucca's chart).

I had to schedule it pretty late this time for family reasons. I know many medical schools can review our app without MCAT but still is that test date too late for the cycle? Thanks!

Delay in MCAT should not affect your consideration in this super-messed-up cycle.

I submitted on 6/29, so I was "ready for review" since then. I went "under review" on 8/10 but got put "on hold" same day. Just today 8/14 I'm back "under review" and the AAMC Clerk says NOW it can take up to 8 weeks. Is that BS? Didn't our timers start once we actually submitted and not when we reached "Under Review?"

Any responses would be super appreciated.

Yeah, I think thats BS. If you were marked as "Under Review" that means you finally reached the top of the stack and should be verified shortly UNLESS there is a dilemma with transcripts matching, ect.

Just today 8/14 I'm back "under review" and the AAMC Clerk says NOW it can take up to 8 weeks. Is that BS? Didn't our timers start once we actually submitted and not when we reached "Under Review?"

Yeah that's not correct. Your initial "ready for review" on 6/29 is when the timer began.

Not sure what that "on hold" is. Most applications are "under review" for only several minutes. Llike applications with multiple (like 10+) transcripts or many foreign transcripts, etc are the ones that take more time "under review". If yours remains "under review" and your application is not "complicated", I suggest you call and email them repeatedly.

Marking electronic transcripts as "Received" that were delivered on August 13 and paper transcripts as "Received" that were delivered on August 13.

Processing applications that reached "Ready for Review" on July 3.
Processing Academic Change Requests submitted on August 13.

Verification times still climbing. At roughly ~ 42 day waiting period if you submitted on July 4th-ish (ignore outliers, 99% sure they misentered data).

After being put "On Hold" for a missing Joint Service Transcript, my application was officially returned today to fill in the missing credit hours (9 years military, lot of courses). I'm pretty distraught because the coursework is irrelevant, but the fault is mine. I resubmitted and I'm back "Ready for Review." Is there any chance my 1.5 months of waiting for verification or a phone call to AMCAS would help move things along again? Am I back to square one?

You shouldn't be at the beginning again to wait. If you had any changes to make, it should be looked at quickly and verified.

It's seems like they're starting to speed up, taking one day to verify one day now.

I think it's been consistent like that (one day to verify one day except weekends) for the past couple of weeks

It changed to Under Review on Aug 11, but ironically I was verified shortly after I posted haha. Just odd that mine took a week longer than others

This might have to do with fewer people submitting on the 4th of July (a good day to rest IMO, I know I did). I feel that a lot of people (including myself) submitted July 7th... maybe tomorrow I'll get that verification?

Submitted in early August because I was waiting for some grades to come in, and in the long queue for verification. I expect to be verified around early September or perhaps earlier. Is anyone in the same boat? Is this timeframe still okay for this cycle? I'm assuming everything's going to be delayed.

Completely okay. I am 7/27. We are still considered on time for the cycle and due to 2020 being 2020, everything will be just fine.
I have heard some schools are being told to "pad" to their secondary to interview timeline, meaning they are aware that verification and general application content are taking longer. All is fine!

I think they do, but maybe not at full capacity. I saw a week or two back that someone was verified on a Sunday.

I agree I submitted late July as well, seeing how slow verification is going and how messed up this whole year has been in general, I'm sure that med schools will take all this into consideration.

wouldn’t early August be verified late September ? Expecting it to take 6-8 weeks?

I think some schools have already started interviews w a lot starting August 31?

Okay, thanks to rdyotz, I was able to get more complete data from the last cycle so I could plot out exactly where we are in relation to the previous cycle...this ain't so good :/ (also I sincerely hope the 80day verif person was a data misentry). But yeah...there aren't any signs of the verification timeline leveling out right now and timelines are rising more and more. once i get some time, i'll scrape the aamc twitter so i can get a more up to date version of where they are as opposed to relying on users self-reporting.

Some schools send secondary even before AMCAS verification. Hope you have logged into AMCAS and confirmed verification.

Those schools sent me my secondaries over a month ago- they actually send them like, right after you submit your app. GW, Rutgers, Tufts and BU didn't wait for verification.
Today, the schools all said in their emails "We received your primary". But yes I also checked and 2 hours after receiving 4 new secondaries, I got an email from AMCAS as well.
