Do you guys think there's a chance of waitlist movement before May? Cornell is my top choice but I have other acceptances and I'm so tired of waiting 🙁

Any idea how many ppl are on the WL historically? We are seeing a lot more ppl with WL on SDN than A messages. Thoughts?

If many Accepted people withdraw prior to - by calling Cornell (and not just updating AMCAS), movement prior to May is possible, but unlikely.
 
So anyone else with me who didn't get the WL email refreshing their email waiting for the R? I want to know I'm not alone in my misery 🙁

idk the exact number. all i can say is that i remember being a ton of WL movement from my class and historically that seems to be the trend. my class's FB group ended up being around 230 students ... and maybe 30 of those max were current m1s at the time.
 
anyone know if we are going to get a confirmation email about accepting our place on the waitlist?

i think i accidentally sent the form twice and don't know if it went through....

I’m right there with you friend! I thought I did the best in my Cornell interview compared to my others but guess not. Keep your head up though (as hard as it may be to do rn)!!

Does anyone have a guess about how many have been accepted? 100 or 200?
 
By the way to anyone who may have not gotten a WL offer check your junk folder, that's where mine showed up!

Thinking the same. Does anyone have an idea if a similar number of WL were reported on SDN last year?
 
WL here. OOS, interviewed in November. No updates or LOIs sent. Also found the email in my spam folder

300 acceptances total? That seems super high. Do people decline acceptances off the waitlist?
 
I searched last year's thread and found no post-II Rs, just waitlists.. am I missing something?

There were 2 post-II R's mentioned on page 28 of last year's thread.

Also, in response to a post earlier, I counted ~25 WL's mentioned the day decisions rolled out last year. So far this thread has tallied around 27 WL's

I think I just reached my max neurotic capacity, (and I won't mention I have an exam tomorrow) so I I'll say good night 🙂
 
Well I hope I might still get WL'd. I've quadruple checked my spam folder but no luck 🙁

Sorry if this is a dumb question. But because there's no WL movement till May/after the CTE deadline, does that mean that they'll only be puling from people who don't have any acceptances/only WLs?

No. My understanding is that each school will only know who is taking up their A. If that number falls below what they need to fill the class, they use their WLs regardless of As from other schools. That's why WL movements run all the way to August

To add on, April 30 is the deadline to choose Plan to Enroll and narrow down to one A (but you can stay on any number of waitlists). The deadline to choose Commit to Enroll (withdraw from all waitlists) depends on the school.
 
Does anyone know when financial aid packages are typically sent?

So my previous statement was probably incorrect that between PTE and CTE - WL movements can happen for all, but after CTE, people with As are out of all WLs, so movement can occur only for people with only WLs

You can make an empty account just to join it if you want, FB accounts are pretty easy to make - but if you don't feel like it, most of the action usually goes on via groupme anyway! And if you ever have any burning questions, you can ask me as well :angelic:
