Thanks everyone for the responses! Quick follow-up: is there a separate Zoom link for the presentations & virtual tour? I only received one link for interviews so just wanted to double check.

If you check your complete email, they have instructions on how to submit!Does anyone know if they are receptive to pre-II letters of interest? This is definitely my top school but I don't want to annoy them haha
Congrats! Complete date?II yesterday, in state
Super happy to get one from my top choice
7/22Congrats! Complete date?
Theoretically no until February when their interview season ends. If your stats are within the 50% dont lose hope !If we havent heard back from the school since late july, should we expect the R?
Mine were ~30 minutes each. Can anyone who has interviewed let me know how long the interviews are? 30mins, or 1hr? Can't seem to find info on this.
Mine were ~30 minutes each.
My first one was almost an hour (they ended about ten minutes early, they said it was to give me time to prepare for next one since it was right after). The next one was about the same, they ended the interview after a little under an hour. You are given the full hour but how long you end up taking probably depends on your interviewer. Can anyone who has interviewed let me know how long the interviews are? 30mins, or 1hr? I did not receive them in advance.Do you get names of interviewers in advance?
To piggy-back on this, are the interviewers faculty and students? No worries if you aren't allowed to share!I did not receive them in advance.
Decisions come out in March after interviews are over.does anyone know when they make decisions on rejection/acceptance after interviews
does anyone know when they make decisions on rejection/acceptance after interviews
Decisions released at the earliest on March 12th this year according to MSAR. In spirit of last year’s thread, this date seems pretty likely IMODecisions come out in March after interviews are over.
Reportedly around 40%! But that number I believe is after accepting people off the waitlist too.Does anyone know what the post-interview acceptance rate for this school looks like?
I wonder if it will be lower this year? Interviews offered may go up because it is easier to interview remotely while the number of seats will obviously stay the same.Reportedly around 40%! But that number I believe is after accepting people off the waitlist too.
Yeah, I was wondering the same too. I've read that Cornell received a 10% increase in applications this year but don't know if they're interviewing more than usual...I wonder if it will be lower this year? Interviews offered may go up because it is easier to interview remotely while the number of seats will obviously stay the same.
Or they will interview the same number of people but have a higher acceptance rate since more people seem to be hoarding II and A's this cycle (due to virtual interviewing)I wonder if it will be lower this year? Interviews offered may go up because it is easier to interview remotely while the number of seats will obviously stay the same.
It also seems they are kind of behind this cycle (most recent II reported here are still July complete dates). I wonder if that means they will even have the time to interview extra people 🤔Or they will interview the same number of people but have a higher acceptance rate since more people seem to be hoarding II and A's this cycle (due to virtual interviewing)
+1 manifesting a II for us :')Complete mid July but no II yet 🙁 hoping it’s not over yet! Do they send pre-II Rs before the end of the cycle?
Same! 😭Submitted in early Oct. Hoping they'll have room left!
Same! 😭
@hola1997 sept submission here feeling the same way haha. congrats to all those who got II's so far!!
Complete mid-September and hoping for the best! 🤞Submitted in early Oct. Hoping they'll have room left!
Damn it feels like they're literally never going to make it to late July lol
As a late July complete, I feel exactly the same way... I alternate between excitement about potentially still being in the running and shriveling up inside from fear that I've been silently passed over. apps have destroyed my spirit lolDamn it feels like they're literally never going to make it to late July lol
Woah, congratulations!A MD/PhD! I'm so excited!!! Interviewed in November
According to this reddit post, they send rejections in waves:Complete mid July but no II yet 🙁 hoping it’s not over yet! Do they send pre-II Rs before the end of the cycle?
This is specific to the MSTP. I interviewed in Nov and they told me the MSTP makes decisions on Dec 15th for their first batch of interviews. Congrats to @theOshow! Still hitting refresh on my email but slowly accepting that I may have gotten that RWoah, congratulations!
I guess the following sentence from their secondary app form isn't that accurate then lol
"Weill Cornell Medical College does not have rolling admissions. Interviews begin in September and the class is selected in March."
Ah makes sense, thanks for clearing that upThis is specific to the MSTP. I interviewed in Nov and they told me the MSTP makes decisions on Dec 15th for their first batch of interviews. Congrats to @theOshow! Still hitting refresh on my email but slowly accepting that I may have gotten that R
One was 45 min the other was an hour. I've seen someone here say 30 minutes too...How long was everyone's faculty interview?
