omg wow congrats guys! wait so ive never heard of it being that common to get a phone call. are WL acceptances more often done over the phone than emails? or is that a school specific thing?

I know at least 3 schools I got WL’ed at call and 1 of them emails

Long-time lurker here as well, 3 WL, 0 A gang. I was thinking of waiting 2-3 weeks to see if I am in the first wave of acceptances off the waitlist or not. If not, then I will start preparing to re-do my primary app and come up with a plan for the upcoming year.
I’m thinking 1.5 or 2 weeks into May just in case bc they extended the application deadline.. but maybe that’s the optimist in me

just received an email saying ADMISSION that almost gave me a heart attack, and it turned out was an email from Saint James school of medicine asked me to apply for their incoming class. wtf is this BS I am mad

likely from when you registered for the MCAT and AMCAS. its why we get a ton of DPM and naturopathic emails too
Did you allow junk ads from AMCAS? Not exactly what the questions asks, instead it states something about AMCAS partners I believe, but I also made the mistake of signing up.

My plan is to start filling out the background, course info, and LOR stuff when it opens up until May 15th ( which is my personal give up deadline for this cycle lol) just because that’s low effort and in the past a majority of the waitlist movement for my 2 WLs was done by then.

That's likely good news if you did as it is only for accepted students. The school may have accepted you via AMCAS, but not contacted you yet.
You just never know only time will tell... these things r so unpredictable. hoping it results in good news!!!!!!!!!!!
I wonder if we’re on the same waitlist. I’ve moved up > 30 spots on one of mine, but I’m still in the high 60s. Minimal movement yesterday and today.
Thats crazy your school has a live WL movement tracker? I’d be freaking out if I was in the same spot. Good luck to you hopefully you get pulled off

I guess this type of ranking is not the same as a high priority waitlist vs regular wait-list? Unless it is except we just don't get live tracking.
I have to call my admissions office to get an update but my school has an IS and OOS ranked waitlist. We get an update once all interviews and processing is done on our placement. I called them today to schedule an appointment to meet with the admissions office to talk about my application. It's my only WL so I don't know how other schools do it

Just got the call, accepted!!!
I'm shaking, it's one of my top choices.
The first A makes all the pain from this cycle worth it. I would never voluntarily go through this again but I've grown and matured so much from the experiences of this year! Stay strong WL gang, regardless of what happens you will make it through!!

Also, has anyone heard back from adcoms as to why your application was pushed onto WL or R? I'm trying to decide if I should re-apply or not and it's driving me crazy. The schools I've contacted have either said I applied too late or ghosted me. I'm hoping my appointment for my WL school pans out better

Just got the acceptance email today! I was only on one waitlist, no Acceptances, 502mcat/ORM. If I can do it, I’m sure you amazing people with multiple waitlists and higher stats will get in one day!!
