Here we go, folks! Please use this thread and this corresponding Google sheet to share information about the 2022-2023 APPIC internship interview invitations. You're more than welcome to PM me the information to stay anonymous and I'll post it for you!

Please use the following format-

Where did you get these dates? I applied to some. For the ones I know, they stated in their brochure the invitation won't come out until early December, unlike indicated here in Nov.

Hey there! Good question. These are just the dates that folks reported from prior years (per last year's 2020 thread). The hope is that folks will submit up-to-date interview news for this year in this thread :)

Is your plan to update the first post as applicants post up to date information for this year as has been done in the past on the APPIC thread? If so, that will get confusing to have a mix of this year and last year's dates. It might be best to start fresh and applicants can always reference last year's thread if they want to see previous dates.

This is super helpful to share last year's info, thanks! I agree with the others that specifying the currently listed dates are LAST year's dates might be helpful. It is nice to see the general timeline of when folks get back. I wonder if the trend of some of my sites to report 1-2 weeks prior to their promised date will hold this year.

Thank you so much for starting this thread! It is very helpful. I marked the notifications dates that the sites stated on their websites AND the dates people heard back last year. I think that while some sites stick to their set date, others notify the applicants they want to interview early and send rejections around the day they indicate on their webpage.

Current intern popping in to say good luck everyone!

One piece of advice, I recommend removing the comments that are last year’s dates. The thread will get extremely long and convoluted over the next few months, and you don’t want multiple posts with last year’s dates clogging things up. You can edit the comments and simply link last year’s post (I believe you might be able to link the specific comments with the dates). Anyone who wants last year’s can simply click the link and browse themselves.

Just want to send a PSA to everyone to check your junk/ spam folders for interview invites in the coming weeks. Someone in my program last year missed an invite because it went to their spam.

Good luck everyone. This is a super stressful process but now isn't the time to worry. You've spent the last several years preparing for this based on the guidance and training program in which you are enrolled. You should assume you are the same as those who have gone before you - not different. If they matched and if they did well, you will as well. Programs know what works. Not only that, the system favors applicants now - try (as much as possible) not to let the stress eat you away. Yes! I think interviews are being offered on a rolling basis. The email offered me one specific interview date but implied there are also other later interview dates in December and January.

Howdy! I guess personal? I wasn't bcc'ed and I was the only visible recipient. But, nothing in the email was tailored to me, it looked either copied and pasted or they did a mail merge mass email.

Wanted to make everyone aware of a potential glitch in the AAPI. I received an email from one of my sites saying they couldn't access a reference letter in my app even though it was marked as complete. Everything looked fine from my end, and the letter writer, my DCT, and APPIC all said the letter was uploaded and the app was complete. My DCT is on a CUDCP listserv and I am at least the 3rd applicant to report this issue. Training directors were notified via email that this glitch may pop up. Luckily my DCT was able to download the completed app and send it to the site. Just thought others may want to know in case you also get notified of this issue.

Yeah, I was going to ask if anyone had received an email invite from the Phoenix VA TODAY, since they mentioned sending invites the 9th and 10th, and everyone here so far got theirs yesterday. Fingers crossed, it's extremely high up on my list. :S

I'm wondering if anyone knows the likelihood of receiving an invite to interview after a "mass email" has already been sent to others. Is it safe to assume I'm out, or might I still hear something?

Hmm i heard that some programs have an "interview waitlist" of sorts in case some interviewees back out but I haven't verified this.
