Should I be stressed if the class discord page is full?

I don’t think this is always a bad thing. I keep seeing fluctuations in the Facebook group for my waitlisted school… I just have to believe that it doesn’t ultimately matter because it’s not over until it’s over.

No. These things are not necessarily monitored or managed by those in charge of actual acceptances (or withdrawals).

I think we'll have another month of WL offers coming up in Texas. There are still some folks holding several MD acceptances judging by our busy "Help Me Decide" forum, and when they leave behind a TX school to go OOS, TX will fill those gaps.

I feel like I should know this, but I thought after April 30th, individuals could not hold more than one MD acceptance. This WL process is just very confusing to me and I’m trying to figure out how to prepare for the future.

PTE: Plan to enroll one school, can stay on WL.
CTE: Commit to enroll one school, cannot stay on WL.

April 30/May 1 was the PTE deadline. Students with multiple acceptances PTE'd to one school, but they could stay on their WL.

CTE deadlines differ from school to school. If a student gets off WL, they can be given some time (usually 2 weeks) to either CTE or drop the WL. As more students CTE (meaning they are 100% attending that school), schools start making WL movements to fill their class.

Does anyone feel super awkward with coworkers talking about going to med school this cycle but ur stuck reapplying? I can’t tell if im just being super jealous or theyre actually annoying and rubbing it in my face

i feel so discouraged 🙁 waiting on 1 WL to turn to an A

Me too. I'm trying to stay hopeful because the school I'm waitlisted at usually only has waitlist movement in June (if they have any at all), but it's really tough to stay optimistic. I just feel drained.

It depends on the school. Some schools will “reassess” waitlist positions periodically based on update letters, etc. My WL school though, for example, keeps us at the same ranking on the waitlist… but they don’t tell us what our ranking is which is FOUL.
