Yeah. Just super weird that the dates were all over the place. Like, some people from December hadn't been reviewed but others from late February (!) had.

Yours is about the only reasonable explanation, though.

To give some hope, I think there will still be some that rolled out within the next 10 days -

Traffic rules from aamc - By March 15 of the matriculation year, issue a number of acceptance offers at least equal to the expected number of students in its first-year entering class and report those acceptance actions to AMCAS.

I also always expected if there were multiple decision dates, it would at least go in order like other schools. Such as As then WLs then Rs. I don’t know why it’s all over the place

I wonder if there will be WL movement at all…. 🙁((

There was a fair bit of WL movement last year after the free tuition announcement. Just need to have patience!

The way I thought of it, not EVERYONE needs/wants the free tuition. For some people, its not a factor (parents are paying for it, have scholarships elsewhere, etc.) so there will definitely end up being some WL movement.

Do you think this only applies for HPWL? Or is there normal WL movement too?

Will they email with a response of some sort of decision or is no response their rejection? Or meaning they didn’t consider our application after interview

hey! for everyone with an A, did you get a confirmation email after signing the acceptance acknowledgment form? I got one after signing the technical standards, but not for the acknowledgment. thank you!!

i did not get a confirmation email for the acknowledgment form, but i was planning to email dean kerrigan to double check bc i’m paranoid 😅

Am I cooked if I've heard absolutely nothing so far? I have other acceptances and I want to move on with my life lol

does anyone know what the real talk discussions on fridays at 330 are like? like is it casual or more formal?

Does anyone know how to send updates? I cant find an upload option on the portal or online 🙁

super casual, the Office of Diversity sponsored student groups specifically hold this to give prospective students an opportunity to talk with students in those communities! (including but not limited to LGBTQ+, Jewish, Asian American, Muslim etc)

Congrats to those who've heard back!
As a general PSA, please don't spread misinformation on expected follow up etc. The admissions process is ongoing, there are still interviews happening, possibly some to go still go out (as current student we don't know this info for sure, however last year interviews went until March at least). A lot of intention was put into this cycle to try to avoid the free tuition from dramatically changing the types of students Einstein admits to create a diverse and collaborative student body.

Every medical school has waitlist movement - I wouldn't lose hope! It's hard to say what movement will look like this early on in the season and given that students will hold to multiple A's for another few weeks. If you are waitlisted and Einstein is really your top choice, I would recommend communicating this to adcom!

Best of luck to all, if you're an Admitted student, hope to see you on campus in the fall, free to DM with questions.

Thank you so much for this message!!! :')
Based on your experience/your classmates' experiences, could you possibly explain the distinction between those who received "rolling admissions" emails vs "waitlist" emails? Does this mean "rolling admissions" people will hear back sooner? struggling to understand what the difference is between these statuses, and how that impacts future notifications/timeline and such

thanks!! is it like a camera on, discussion type of meeting with a few people or more of a bigger group listening thing?

I emailed the admission office, apparently the wording is pretty bad. If you did the background check before for another acceptance then you are all good to go. They should receive the check in the next few days is what I was told.

You only need to reach out to Certephi if you got another acceptance and HAVEN't done the background check. Thats because Certephi doesn't send another email to register for the background check after the first one so you would need to reach out to them to receive the consent to register for one.

The wording implied that we had to somehow send the check to Einstein but that isn't the case. I also called admissions, Certephi, AND AAMC to ask about the release policy too since I was tweaking about it

Anyone still waiting to enter the curriculum session tonight?

What’s the best way to submit updates after we’ve been waitlisted? Is it that same portal they gave us a while back or is there a new one?

does anybody know if there are any updates re: the LCME accreditation? i heard the site visit was in february but they didn't mention anything about how it went at the dean's chat tn ;-; would love if a current student could chime in!

would email dean kerrigan if you have an update (but not more than like ~1x month unless you have a significant update)

site visit went well, basically we will get re evaluated in June-ish, tldr there is simply no way the school got worse, but it's like remotely possible we don't have enough data (yet) to prove changes/improvements are good (they are but sometimes LCME wants like 2 years of data, which would be impossible in the reevaluation time frame) so worst case we continue for another year of more monitoring... but basically I really really would not factor this into decision making... (though if you really think about it, it's honestly good that the school is more aggressive in fixing problems rn!)

historically rolling admissions was a better indicator of potential admission over "wait list" however I am not sure if this will be consistent with this year

roughly admission waves are in the early of the month until late April when they then get to 1:1 filling the class as people withdraw/accept.

do we know how many seats have been filled so far? someone said there's only 120 this year so :\

For everybody who got the "rolling admissions" email. Are you going to send that email a letter of intent or something? I'm so done with writing stuff. I already gave them an extensive update/interest letter...
