for anyone thats interviewed here, whats the general interview vibe like?

Did everyone receive an email Feb 1 on an intermediate decision? Realizing I've had radio silence this entire cycle and not knowing what to think....

What do you mean an intermediate decision?

What do you mean an intermediate decision?
I had seen on the front of the application portal that "Applicants are notified of their intermediate or final disposition beginning February 1." Honestly not sure what they meant by it either other than that....

Does anyone want to start a GroupMe for accepted students?

does anyone know the expected timeline for decisions if you interviewed in the last 1-2 weeks?
there's no real gauge, but historically the adcom sends batches early in each month until it gets to mid may, and then it can be whenever randomly a seat opens

is einstein still giving out acceptances next wave? it seems not many received an A this time around compared to past years where they gave out all their A's first wave

Someone posted here that a school must give enough acceptances to fill their prospective class by March 15th. Assuming that they didn't accept 160+ people on March 5th, they will need to do something this week to reach that mark. This is a real rule, so the only way in which they wouldn't send out more acceptances is if they already admitted the entire class and everyone else is going on WL or R (I have no idea how many ppl were accepted last week).
Based on all the publicly available information I can find (SDN, admit.org, attendance numbers at admitted student sessions and on the student discord), i don't think their class is currently full. I could be wrong, but I'm interested in seeing what happens in the next few days

What are the numbers from the student sessions and student discord?

Where did you get the discord? Admitted but didn’t see a link anywhere!

from what i can see on cycle track is that they have admitted 2/3 of the number of people as they did last year, so assuming that the cycletrack sample is the same in response rate between the years they probably got another 55 applicants to admit

wait where are folks getting the they have to admit their whole class by March 15th?

I’m pretty sure that the rule says that they have to admit minimum they people that they’ll have in their class. If that’s a class size of like ~150, they have likely already admitted that many. However, that does not mean the remaining 100ish they still will accept for yield purposes will happen before then.

OOS pre-II R. About damn time! Man this has been stressful lol I can finally start planning my life somewhere else

14,000 applicants wow does anyone know how many they got last year?

For the HPWL, if that's even what rolling admissions means, when did people find out last year? What are the typical chances of getting off? Of course, this year will be unlike all previous years.

it's rolling, it varies with the flow of the cycle, no real way to know

hi! are there any financial aid documents that we have to fill out? I don't see a CSS code for Einstein

do we think there are still any interview invites left? or has the ship sailed?

Wondering this too
There is probably no way of knowing other than the language on the admissions portal saying that they would be interviewing through April.

This is their first time dealing with 14000 apps. Their prompts are pretty long to be undertaking this.

It is not ethical to fill up the last interview date before reading all of them and then having a subcommittee meeting, so kind of comes down to their bandwidth/ admissions resources imo

I still haven't heard a peep from them. I wouldn't be surprised if a bunch of applications just completely fell through the cracks. Maybe they were not prepared for such a huge increase in applications this year.

has anyone contacted admissions and have any idea when next wave of decisions will be out

I’m hoping there will be a wave of decisions today? Because in the fine print it says if March 15 falls on a weekend then this deadline is moved to the next business day

Just interviewed and my interviewer let me know that I should send an update letter/letter of intent. Where do I send it to?
