Pure speculation, but I think they’re done and some of us just caught in a weird limbo. Of the people who haven’t heard, was there anyone who interviewed *prior* to February?

I interviewed back in October

"March 5 date for notification of disposition to applicants who have been interviewed and considered by the committee"

Maybe it's possible to have interviewed months ago and not have been "considered by the committee" for whatever reason? In which case the March 5th date is not really meaningful at all?

Gonna need some lawyers to help us parse this lol

But then saying prior to mid February suggests that it could be a cutoff for the apps that have been considered so far

Interviewed [emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]]]/[emoji[emoji[emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6]]]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]]]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6][emoji6]]] still haven’t heard anything :/

The only logical explanation would be that our applications have not yet been reviewed. If they had, we would have either been rejected or given the WL / rolling admissions email. I think many of us (myself included) misinterpreted that March 5 would be THE decision day when it was just the announcement of the first decisions. I wish they were more clear about how this process was supposed to work because this was quite an annoying day!

Yeah. Just super weird that the dates were all over the place. Like, some people from December hadn't been reviewed but others from late February (!) had.

Yours is about the only reasonable explanation, though.

This is a very valid counterargument that I thought about and have absolutely no answer for.

They always said “beginning March 5” implying several dates for decisions but I’m also a late interviewee so maybe im missing context from emails that I didn’t receive. I think that’s where the confusion is because I was never expecting them all to come out today. I do agree the order feels very random but maybe they simply aren’t reviewing in any particular order. Wishing everyone good luck!

To give some hope, I think there will still be some that rolled out within the next 10 days -

Traffic rules from aamc - By March 15 of the matriculation year, issue a number of acceptance offers at least equal to the expected number of students in its first-year entering class and report those acceptance actions to AMCAS.

I also always expected if there were multiple decision dates, it would at least go in order like other schools. Such as As then WLs then Rs. I don’t know why it’s all over the place

I wonder if there will be WL movement at all…. 🙁((

There was a fair bit of WL movement last year after the free tuition announcement. Just need to have patience!

The way I thought of it, not EVERYONE needs/wants the free tuition. For some people, its not a factor (parents are paying for it, have scholarships elsewhere, etc.) so there will definitely end up being some WL movement.

Do you think this only applies for HPWL? Or is there normal WL movement too?

Will they email with a response of some sort of decision or is no response their rejection? Or meaning they didn’t consider our application after interview

hey! for everyone with an A, did you get a confirmation email after signing the acceptance acknowledgment form? I got one after signing the technical standards, but not for the acknowledgment. thank you!!
