Its for all accepted students. Is the discord people who have CTE or all accepted students?
In the exact same boat with another fl school and it sucks so much. I’ll be coming out of school with ~400k loans now (really high tuition and high COL area) and am also devastated about not being able to remain in the state since I ultimately want to train and practice here. imo FL is not a great state to be an applicant in because even though we have 8 md schools, almost all have high mcat average or take a good amount OOS. trying to keep my head up and at least get excited about the opportunity to explore a new area for med school that I otherwise never would have!I am not sure what is wrong with Florida state schools who don't want to take their own students. Waitlisted at this school but accepted to another OOS state school but have to pay OOS tuition. It is not fair.
wow huge congrats!! could you tell us a little bit about yourself - LM score, when you interviewed, etc.Just got accepted off the waitlist with a call from the Dean of Admissions around 2:30 pst. OOS applicant, this is my first acceptance and I really can't believe it! Good luck to everyone still waiting to hear back

don't give me hope bro I need to let go lmao😭Just counted and there’s 155 members with 42 upperclassmen!
Thank you! I interviewed in October and was waitlisted in December, so it’s been a loooong process with no other acceptances. I submitted a letter of intent in March and the Dean did say he read it. My LM is 75.9 and I have a lot of clinical hours but no research if that’s helpful!wow huge congrats!! could you tell us a little bit about yourself - LM score, when you interviewed, etc.

Contrary to what you hear that medical students don’t like the conservative politics of Florida, the population growth of FL, lifestyle and high healthcare demand makes it very attractive. That’s why the FL schools get so many OOS applicants and median stats are high.In the exact same boat with another fl school and it sucks so much. I believe it’s 130 students in the class, someone correct me if I’m wrongWait so how many total can be accepted?
Any update on how many people are in the discord?
Hopefully there’s some movement soon but I emailed them in February and they said the commit to enroll deadline is 6/16CTE deadline is monday 6/9, so hopefully there is some WL movement then. I did ask admissions how long waitlist movement will last and they said up until the first day of classes (basically until they are confident that every seat has a butt in it on the first day of school).
Interesting, I emailed 3 weeks ago and they said the 9th, I also confirmed with them todayHopefully there’s some movement soon but I emailed them in February and they said the commit to enroll deadline is 6/16
That’s so weird! I just double checked the email and they said 6/16 on 2/4. I wonder what changed but I’m glad that we can potentially hear back sooner hahaha 🙂 Thanks sm for letting us know, it’s so frustrating being kept in the dark!Interesting, I emailed 3 weeks ago and they said the 9th, I also confirmed with them today

same here weirdly. it was from the dean and sent within literally 5 minsout of curiosity what did the email response after notifying them of withdrawal sound like? mine sounds strangely personal
