I've been seeing movement has been slow everywhere for DO's, maybe there is more high yield this year like in places such as NYITCOM. Maybe we need to just wait or maybe we're unlucky. lets hope TUCOM pulls through 🙂

If its any consolation, I was looking at the Western SDN threads and WL movement seems pretty smooth/normal. Since its a similar applicant pool and both in Cali, maybe Touro will be the same- just on a delayed timeline from pushing back interviews so far.

For some reason, I have this feeling they interviewed extra people so that they don't have to rely on the waitlist too much! based on my understanding, most waitlisted people turn down the acceptance at this point and they don't like it. This is not really good news for us that are really interested in the school tho

yes, and their past facebook groups have had around 230-250 people. obviously FB isnt the best indicator, but I mean its all we can go off of given the crickets on SDN and other places 😅

they're moving REAL slow if thats their goal. i have to be in a different state in 3 weeks for the other schools orientation. ADCOM if you're reading this please for the love of god help us

yea i just wish we had clarity given its sooo late and we have to start our alternate schools soon! Like knowing if the class is full and there will be minimal movement, or if waitlist movement will be a lot or even how high we are in the ranking. ugh, guess all we can do is wait.

I honestly did not have much update to share. I had visited the campus and talked about my experience at Touro, tho! Try to attend the Zoom calls on Fridays and show your continued interest. Also, send them a short email and tell them you are still interested and will attend for sure, since you are very interested.

curriculum is set. You do get to take electives but no one really does the first semester. First semester its all about adjustment and studying.
Electives include street medicine, medical spanish, global health, more OPP related ones, etc. There are new ones every semester.

Registrar will register your courses for you. Worry about the orientation checklist and getting everything you need ordered.
