Looks like another round of acceptances went out yesterday, wonder if they were from recent interview or waitlist acceptances
 
Hi are there any current students who would be willing to talk to me about the program! My deposit is due soon and I wanted to see if the program was a fit for me !
 
Hey, did everyone see the new update that TUN released regarding taking Step in addition to COMLEX? If you didn't, I'll link it below—crazy stuff.

do you think we have any chance? I'm starting to spiral bc I haven't done much in the last gap year for a reapp, just the usual extracurriculars i've been doing

Definitelyyyyyyy! It’s still May, and the Facebook group only shows 109 students so theoretically there are still quite a few spots open! That being said, idk your stats but from people pulled so far it does seem like it’s purely MCAT and GPA based so we could be waiting awhile into the waitlist game if you’re low stats like me lol.

yeah my stats are pretty bad, 3.2 cGPA (but did a postbacc 3.87) and 511 MCAT. I might be expecting some of those 109 students to also get off waitlists for other schools too and leave so im crossing my fingers

It’s gonna happen for us, just gotta find ways to stay distracted till it does! 🫡
 
Anotha week down anotha week of silence. Come to think of it I don't think we'll see any movement until June 13 or after because of the AACOMAS deadline extension. Been perusing the other school threads and also talked to someone who spoke with an ADCOM rep at NYITCOM also confirming their waitlist movement has been very slow this year. One school is not representative of all but it seems to make sense with the extension whereas last year we would've had a lot of people getting off by now. Anyone else concur?

Honestly have no idea. Looks like another round of acceptances went out last week (unsure if waitlist or interviews) as the fb group went up from 116 to 123 students. My prediction for next round of movement was either friday or today so I guess we'll just have to wait and see :whistle:
 
Those of u on the WL, when is the latest you guys will hold out for TUN?
 
Do you guys have other acceptances? How are u managing that? And would you start looking for housing now?

Sorry for all the questions lol I’m in the same situation so I was wondering how to navigate having an A while waiting for TUN.

Two waitlists, no As. Thankfully I live relatively close to my other Waitlist and it's about an hour flight or 4 hour drive to either school. Housing I already have some places I want to stay at, and their turn around times are within 10 days for rental applications so I think I'll be fine. Can always do extended stay hotels if anything

Yeah I have another A thankfully so not as stressed, I've heard housing is always easy to find in Vegas. I'm essentially just planning for the other school and doing everything I need to do for that until I hear otherwise except for housing. Housing is going to be a last minute hail mary figure out thing either way, but due to personal circumstances Vegas is just that much better for my situation that I'm willing to struggle through that stress at the beginning.
 
Got it! Im sure theres others with similar circumstances so we’ll get through it together! Plus, we still have entirety of June
 
Does anyone know how the WL would work from now since we have about a month before school starts? do they just rapid fire go through the WL? how would they be able to go through the entire WL like last year in time?

Honestly, there’s a chance that they don’t. I think it really depends on who accepts their seats here/gets in elsewhere. Waitlist group last year may have just been luckier than us, but all we can do is wait and see

Interviews went through July last year, they’ve already pulled some waitlisted people and will continue to from past years it seems
 
Just received an email from TUN asking if I was still interested in being considered off WL. Did anyone else get this? I think the WL might be moving soon?
 
Do you guys think we might see some WL movement this week? I think Touro CA is having some movement based on fb so hoping we see some people added to the Tun fb soon.

I didn’t check the Facebook recently but was surprised to see it went up 13 people! Im thinking a combination of people who interviewed recently + WL’s?
