They will probably send out a few more, based on last year's CycleTrack, but that is just my guess!

Did anyone else get a financial aid letter in the mail? Is it indicative of anything or did everyone who interviewed receive it as well?

according to last years forum, the financial aid letter went out to everyone that interviewed and submitted fafsa.
 
should I submit a post-II update now, or wait until after the holidays? I think their decisions come out mid february

+1 IS II just now for SJV PRIME. Complete 9/24. The email also said that I need to join an informational session held on a different day but I don't see a link to register for this in email or on the applicant portal. Do they send this later?

They will send it later once you do the attestation
 
Hi, I just got an IS II for the JMP (LM 78, complete 8/21) and I am confused about whether it is also an II for the traditional MD program. The subject line is “UCSF School of Medicine – Interview Invitation – Joint Medical Program (JMP)” and the exact wording of the invite is “The UCSF School of Medicine and the University of California, Berkeley, Joint Medical Program invite you to interview for consideration to become a student at our medical school.”

Did anyone else who’s gotten an II for both the JMP and the traditional MD get an email with different wording? Any insight would be super appreciated, thank you!!!

I have the same question. I got an invite for SJV PRIME and have the same verbiage in my email - "The UCSF School of Medicine and San Joaquin Valley Program in Medical Education (SJV PRIME) invite you to interview for consideration to become a student at our medical school." I haven't heard from anyone having two separate interview days (i.e., one for the MD program and one for SJV PRIME), but I am not sure.

I got the same email yesterday, but for some reason, I can't schedule any interview dates, and now I'm concerned that they accidentally sent an interview invite to me. I emailed them and tried calling but I guess I just have to wait.

I fear it's today or never that they send out the final IIs. Survived the Rs so far but this might be the end of the road ..

Is that info session only for mstp applicants? Cuz it could just be for md no?

I was worried that I didn't officially submit my app, but I guess there's not much I could do now if that were the case. Does your status page also not have an "Application Complete"?

Are there even anymore SVJ/Prime interview dates?

I got neither the reject or II. If there are no more interview dates then I can at least call it GG and move on lol
 
Hey everyone! I interviewed back in October, and just got the letter from the registrar to set up my Student Financial Aid account. I assume that they sent these to everyone who interviewed - has anyone else received their letter? Should I be excited at least because this means they don't plan to reject me yet?

Hi! I also got my financial aid letter yesterday (dated December 13th, 2024 though) and interviewed in late November. I think they send these letters to everyone who's interviewed and won't make any decisions until February 2025

Hey ty for responding!! Yeah totally -- I just meant according to cycle track there are a lot of rejections going out so I wanted to hold out hope that I had made it through a first cut lol. I know that acceptances go out the first week of February at the earliest (they said that in the info session)! I think it's just that the cycle hasn't gone great for me (this is the only interview that I've had so far), and I am just trying to find reasons to be hopeful! I thought I would hear from more schools considering I applied to 47 😭. Good luck to you!!
 
Hi! Current student here - wanted to chime in to share anecdotal info from last year's cycle. Last year, it seemed like everyone who interviewed got the physical letter in the mail regarding setting up an account to submit financial aid info! You can see in last year's thread that it caused a lot of chaos and confusion but in the end even people who were rejected or waitlisted got it (as well as folks who ended up being accepted, of course). So unfortunately I don't think the letter in the mail can serve as a reliable sign in any direction, good or bad!
