I have a 509 3.8 with multiple issues on my app such as W's and gaps in education. However, UCSF it seems wants students who represent varying aspects of life. For me being homeless, losing two fathers due to the lack of healthcare in rural California, and focusing my efforts on communities completely underrepresented and misunderstood by modern medicine is what I believe got me an interview. I think UCSF is unique as stats are not the main priority, they also want people who understand the challenges the daily person endures and how we can implement that into medicine.

I also got a secondary with a 506 and 3.9. I do think I will be getting a rejection soon and got my secondary in September. I think to some degree statistics do matter and mind just seem too low.

"We have received your update and will distribute it once the admission cycle concludes. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions." This is their response. I am a bit confused why they distribute the update when the admission cycle concludes? So does it mean my updates will not be factored into their decision, and it is more meant for if I get WL, they will consider it then?

“Thank you for your email. We’ve added your update to your application file.” This is the response I got. I think they accidentally sent you the response they send for thank you notes because I know those get distributed at the end of the cycle

I have the same question. I got an invite for SJV PRIME and have the same verbiage in my email - "The UCSF School of Medicine and San Joaquin Valley Program in Medical Education (SJV PRIME) invite you to interview for consideration to become a student at our medical school." I haven't heard from anyone having two separate interview days (i.e., one for the MD program and one for SJV PRIME), but I am not sure.

I got the same email yesterday, but for some reason, I can't schedule any interview dates, and now I'm concerned that they accidentally sent an interview invite to me. I emailed them and tried calling but I guess I just have to wait.

By this point, the MSTP interview invites have all probably been sent out, right? According to Interviews | Medical Scientist Training Program, the last interview date is Jan13-14 for non-MedAnthro applicants.
